I only had two android apps on my Passport and the phone was overheating and draining its battery fast. From 100% to less than 10% in 4 hours. I only installed Spotify and Tick Tick. I deleted both and now the battery last more than a 24 hours. I couldn't believe the difference. I also have a Priv so I am use that for all Android apps and only Passport for emails.

If you have a lo of Android-apps, you can turn off the notifications of apps, also turn off background mode!

BBVE/DEVICE MONITOR/CPU USAGE. From there you can turn off apps running in the background

just searching the issue I got in recent days with my Blackberry Passport. I discovered that I installed Facebook Lite Android version and removed it also resolving battery drain and overheating. So beware of your apk files installing.
