Does anyone notice that the PP runs a little bit too hot while browsing? Mine heats up quite a bit after 15 minutes of browsing and the battery also drop faster too. Is this normal or something because I'm on. 2072 and if it is a problem then I would switch back to official OS

Not sure. I don't own one. Have you tried a hard reboot? Hold both volume buttons until it does.

If I'm browsing, facebooking, tweeting after about an hour it feels warm but not what I'd call hot. I usually take it as a sign to put my phone down for awhile (grin)

Hardly used mine, it did get warm setting it up, but I expect all my devices using radios to get warm. Mine didn't get 'hot' though. I'm going to be using my Passport for a few hours tonight though, so I will see if it gets hot streaming video over WiFi and whatnot.

My passport also gets hot, a few minutes while watching video on browser. Considering the phone specs, this should not be happening. If I compare it to iphone, iphone never gets hot on the same length of time while watching videos on browser.

It is normal because there is metal around...I've got an iPhone 4s and it does the same thing...

Well my PP does make me feel uncomfortable to hold as I browse the Web. there's nothing wrong with the browser's speed, but there's definitely something wrong with the amount of power it took to run. Browsing is what I do all day so this is not good news. FYI I try to reboot it every way I can and it still gets hot. IPhone is another story, they are designed to be heat efficient. I own an iPad and it has barely ever heated up

The steel surround acts as a heat sink. It is normal. Mine gets quite warm if I play 3d games for a few hours. It is better to get the heat out than let it stay in.

I was once working on a chip which had a working temp of about 120 degrees Celsius. If you touched it, you would burn your finger. The snapdragon isn't that bad, but it will still get hot.

Oh, and the battery doesn't drop quicker because it is getting hot, it's the other way around. Use a lot of power, and the pp heats up

The only times my PP heated up and showed a faster-than-normal battery drain was as a result of an Android app. I removed the offending app and my PP returned to great battery life. After that, I haven't noticed my PP getting warm otherwise.

What is the exact temp? It is normal for bbp to feel hot while browsing.

How to check my phone's temperature is beyond me. But I do know how it feels. It feels like touching a cup of hot coffee left sitting on the table for 10 minutes. It does not make you drop the cup of coffee, but it does make you think twice about why the cup has a handle

if passport need more power to run then gets hot, does software can fix this? Why they can't make passport heat efficient?

Did. The manual thing and it seems to work. 3 days now since leak was installed. Hopefully battery would pick up the pace

Would help a lot if you had mentioned what OS you are running.

I experienced something similar after I loaded a leak OS and restored settings.

My phone would just get hot after a few minutes use and battery would drain in 12 hours..

I would suggest a hard reset and if it continues wipe the phone clean and run an auto loader. After that don't restore anything..

    Good luck

I don't restore anything. Before I flash the os (10.3.1.2072 blitz by the way) I do a full security wipe and set up everything from the ground up.
What I have learned from 3 years flashing on Android is if you're going to restore after an OS flashing you're going to have a bad time.

I guess you might want to reinstall just for the sake of it..
    Good luck.

I personally didn't move to .2072 because no one actually gave a positive review about it.
