    It is so important to have an awesome packaging. It is exciting to open up boxes. I remember the iPod I got in 2003... the box was bigger than that, it came with a holster and a dock. It got me so excited. the new ones didn't contain all those accessories and they were just not as fun...

    I think you misunderstood my question. That's final production device in that pic. The phone hasn't been released yet, so how does he have it already? It would be like people sporting iPhones before they are officially available for sale, which as we know does not happen.

    Yes it does.

    All the time.

    Leaks happen all the time.

    There was a guy who posted final units of the iPhone 6 and 6+ months before release.

    And that's just a recent example.

    It could have some from the factory floor. From a carrier partner, from a random shipment, from an amazon sales floor....

    Well that box is definitely bigtime, however, there is no doubt that ATT will repackage it. I absolutely despise how they repackage into a bland box and remove some accessories!!!!

    I totally get you. I won't even let the salesperson take the plastic off the back of the phone to insert the SIM card, I insist on doing it myself. Sometimes I tell them I will do it at home and I just take the whole thing still sealed and enjoy the experience myself. Weird, I know but these are expensive devices and it's nice to have "first dibs" on touching and using them.

    I have had enough bad experiences with people in stores.

    I either buy my phones online so I can do it.

    OR, if I buy it in a store, I insist in opening it, and inserting the sim and stuff myself, and I'll make the test call.
