    The all black model was a gift at a Passport launch event to the attendees, so you might find it on Ebay but I haven't. Pure black and black are exactly the same except for the metal band around the phone, though so unless you're a collector it might be more work than it's worth to find one.

    Well is there any way I can have it modded to be all black? I do have the black Passport and I wouldn't mind paying to have it pure black

    That would work - strip all the components off the steel frame, then hand it over to your local coachworks (bodyshop) to do a nice job next time they paint a black car - might do it as a freebie for you if they like the idea!

    The pure black edition has black glossy volume rockers and the power button, along with black glossy BlackBerry logo on the back. How could a small shop achieve that..

    The red passport has black bezel, back logo and keyboard frets. If you've got the hands for it.
    The bezel is OK. The back logo will do with some glue. But the keyboard frets are the tricky one.

    I contacted a Vietnamese company and they're asking $2300 for pure black edition, which they would customize it and sell it to me. And if I wanna send my own device in it'll cost me $1500. These prices are outrageous!

    Yours is not Pure black Edition, yours is Original Black passport.

    Google for Pure Black Edition you see the difference.
