Is that about what you would expect for a new device with excellent spec's?
And, it's nice to see the advertising in advance!
With the intended target consumer section and given what the device has to offer, BlackBerry seems to have finally got the pricing right.

did they ever put their price higher than iphone and latest samsung flagship?
Still it's not an attractive price?

And I did register!

mrpanduasmara, do you know how this price compares to other flagship phones on Qatar market?
Cool, must be starting in Dubai too :D

I thought they are going to launch a special camel edition gold color for UAE market.
That sign makes it look like "BlackBerry Pa$$port",.. which by the sounds of it... is not too far off. :/

That's a good price..
More or less the same price as previous high end phone launches such as Q10, S4, Z10, etc.
I will buy the Passport as the price is not an issue, but I was really hoping for a more competitive price such as USD 649 to attract "outsiders".

The Q10 when it was launched was priced higher than S4 and iphone I believe.
Black cards, Black cars - All BlackBerry-thing!
Many thanks for the pic and info!! USD750.00 is ok for me!!
That would be around 590 euro. Seems fair. Unless they pull that one to one ratio nonsense and make it 750 euro. That would rather suck

Q10 is not considered a high end

this is probably the non-american pricing after import taxes. at least i really hope so, if this is the base price before import taxes then the device department of blackberry is done for good
Exactly,.. they might as well just dip it in some grey paint and call it "Porsche design"... lol

Awesome!
Slightly related question for the locals...I've heard many pronunciations, but is Qatar pronounced as Cutter, Kay-ter, Kuh-tar or something else?
More like "Cutter".. "I need a cutter for this" :P
750.00 US is allot of money, I know it has good specs and so on, but it's going to be tough to compete against the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy and other established brands out there.
Remember that BlackBerry is in a rebuilding phase and does not have the consumer interest like they once had. I will still look at buying one, but I might wait now until the price comes down just like the z10 and z30 did.
Truthfully, I feel 500-600 would have been a price that would have attracted new a buyer who might have taken a chance on it because it was price reasonably. We will see at the end of the month.
Sent from my Lovely z30 on T Mobile USA (10.3.0.1154)
The prices rarely relate in other markets. Take the z3 for example, it was below 200 USD in Indonesia but 250 in other countries. It really depends on the country. Will mostly like be 699 or lower in North America

you know, I've reading these forums since June of this year and knowing that I am consumer and not a professional (doctor, architect, lawyer, etc), I have yet to find that Blackberry is trying to win its average Joe back. I'd love to be able to try the Passport since I've used iOS, Android and now WP. I want to experience the BB 10OS, I feel that it might be just the one for me. BTW I am not an app guy. But I can dream about the price and hope it will come to T-Mobile.
Will be interesting how the Passport compares to a comparable speced Apple product..... For some it will always be "too much money:".......
Apple doesn't have anything that is spec'd that High. The closest comparison is comparing a Z10 to the 5s.
