It will. It just say not compatible to those carriers because they are CDMA-based network.

I actually went to Globe center 2 weeks ago. The customer service told me they don't have it. I asked if they will be releasing the new BlackBerry phones like Passport and Classic. She told me NO. I wonder if it is true or she just don't know anything about it yet.

I'm sure she's basing it on the fact that globe currently not offering any personal blackberry phones and not anything specific from the top. I'm sure depending on how things go they might offer BlackBerry again since they are offering on business contracts and they had the launch in November with Cameron it was insinuated.

ive come to realize over the years too many to admit lolz that sales staff/ customer service are usually the last to know about new tech stuff, very often what they know is what they are told to sell and/or is commonly asked for. in this society of iSheeps and Droiders, you'll understand why they know next to nothing about Blackberry.

those who do know within Globe/ Smart unfortunately doesnt interface with customers (a shame, because a great deal of what makes their job is to make money from customers). the only way i would know where a customer could ask about it would be the Blackberry Service center in Makati, if theyre gonna have to support Passports and Classics they would need to know/ be trained/ receive specs, so they should know when those devices are gonna be released through official channels. but then dont pin your hopes up, like local sales people they might also be the last to know.

i spotted a seller on OLX. trying to find out where their shop is so i can drop by but they havent responded. makes me wonder if their an elaborate scam of some sort.

No kidding. I feel like I'm the only one in the Philippines doing the marketing for Blackberry!!! I post about it everyday and keep talking about it to my iPhone user friends because I really want them to realize that Passport rocks and they are settling with Apple for the hype!

There's no kidding that BlackBerry lacks promotion here in the Philippines. Bottomline, people don't care for BlackBerry coz they themselves let it happened in front of their doorsteps. Even you go out to the mall and ask for a BlackBerry gadgets or any handsets they have. You will just be ashamed as they will think where did this guy came from. Centuries old BlackBerry is gone. But I will keep on displaying my BlackBerry q10 and 9910. =) I don't care what they are going to say. They just don't realize what a great and awesome devices these BlackBerry's. One thing I've learned with fashioned never go with the pack coz that won't last. Stay with your convictions.

If only it was a big tarpaulin workwide marketing material similar to what iphone has on the different telcos (globe and smart). The device itself would surely get attention as most of the people I meet do get interested in my Passport.

It's unique form factor and the features of the phone will surely win some people over. If only they knew the phone existed.

How easily available is it in Canada? I mean from the time of order to the time of delivery? Also, is the red available in phone shops or is it available only on online shops? I will be going to Canada this March and might consider buying a red one for my wife.
