I've been checking Crackberry ever since they unveiled the Passport and after the launch yesterday, I can't find anything about the release schedule of the device here in the Philippines. Does anyone know? Did they release a calendar for this? I just.cant.wait!!!!

October starts next week. its eerily quiet about the Passport right now . back when i got my Q10, Globe at least had it prominently displayed on its website.

in case Globe/ Smart doesnt sell it, are we still going to get OS updates through them?

No kidding. I feel like I'm the only one in the Philippines doing the marketing for Blackberry!!! I post about it everyday and keep talking about it to my iPhone user friends because I really want them to realize that Passport rocks and they are settling with Apple for the hype!

I'm sure Smart and Globe will sell it. It's just that there are no active promotions/marketing happening here. I hope Blackberry puts out the effort to tell the people that "Hey, we're alive and we have this jaw dropping device for you"

I think if you buy a device outside, the Blackberry Repair shop here won't honor it even if it's under warranty. I just hope Blackberry comes up with Global Support. You know, when you can buy a device somewhere else and have their local repair shop cover it in case something goes wrong.

The keypads from there have Arabic symbols. If you're not bothered with it then go And you're right. They won't honor devices bought outside the Philippines. So, good luck to us who will be buying it outside of the country. Although we can send it back for replacement but it's such a hassle.

They're still busy with their iPhone 6/6+ launch so I think if indeed they'll be releasing the pp it would take a longer time.

iSheep they'll come around soon enough. physical keyboard will win anyone over for those who types a lot (which from my observation is at least half the Pinoy smartphone users anyway)

i hope so too. but the only thing i truly care for is that they do timely updates. i havent done any none-OTA updating unlike some of the BB users with carriers that didnt care. im just worried that Globe might drop the ball if the Passport gets a quiet release.
