The keypad is Arabic+ English so it is definitely Dubai version, here in Dubai you can gold plate and phone you like, retailers charge a fortune but if want to get it done yourself it will cost only 5%.

The gold is a bit too yellow for my taste but the idea would be sexy and professional as heck. Gold would look really nice on it if they toned down the yellow and made the frets along the keyboard black or gold in color as well.

Yes, that would probably look a bit nicer. But white gold being a plating, it'd have to be replated periodically, not sure how long it would last.

On more serious note. Up here, in north, flashy gold chains etc bling is considered as sign stupidity, really bad taste and vanity. This is why we smile at you

When I travel to south (asia, africa etc) , I see everyone loves to wear gold jewellery, even if they live in a mud hut. Interesting indeed.
Can we say it has lost its meaning as a status/caste symbol and has become a sign of "my priorities are out of whack"?

Now, getting cultural differences aside, I must honesty say, this phone looks awful. LOL

If it was unpolished/brushed stainless steal or titanium... maybe.
