So I hear you should factory reset your phone after some time to get the speed back up to its maximum again. I ask because if I did do it I would install exactly the same things I already have so what does it really do?

That's why I have never been a fan of restoring backups, probably except from the simple things like Remember notes or text messages. Everytime I do security wipe, I set up the device from scratch. I go to every app and options and set them up systematically. Sure, it's much more time consuming because you need to set all the stuff up all over again and download all apps all over again but I think it's much more safer.

If you're restoring from backup after reset, it makes no sense.

Usually you'd do a factory reset and only gain performance because you tweak it more than before, and ensure that all the junk and/or cache that were built up from the previous installation is gone/removed.

It's just housekeeping.

Is there a other way to remove the junk on the phone? Maybe an app from BlackBerry World or Google Play Store?
