If you're talking to the CEO, we were discussing a Japanese carrier. Japanese carriers have exotic bands (looking through a Westerner's eyes.)

I think the Japanese refer to LTE as 4G (as most of the world does,) so it looks like his Passport may just be catching LTE in Japan, which is great.

yhamaie-san, you didn't happen to analyze one of these imported Passports' performance on Japanese carriers, did you? I'm particularly interested in that LTE band 1
Here you are . . . (I have not been able to find any connection speed testing app which points to local servers.)

    LTE Band 1 (10 MHz x 2)

I caved and bought mine last night. Wanted to get mine from Amazon, but amazon Canada was not offering the black Friday deal, so I hope my experience from shopblackberry Canada is a good one.

What exactly do you mean by adapter?

The only thing you should need from AT&T is a nano sim card if you don't already have one. I'm on AT&T and that's the only thing I needed and was good to go.

Excellent thank you Amy!!! And a poster on this thread mentioned they went to the att stores for a nano sim and an adapter. It's possible he was speaking about two different things and I assumed they were one and the same.

He probably means Nanosim to MicroSim adapter if he wants to swap between more than one device. That's what I'm going to do. I have a Note 3 and Passport. I'm going to At&t today to get those so I can switch out phones.
