I set brightness to 15%, whites look accurate, and battery lasts ok.

Am trying out keeping my emails at a sync interval of 1 hour and shutting of my push for 3 of my emails while keeping one still Push to Sync. I used to get average battery life of 22 hours, let's see how this little experiment affects the results

Here are my tips for great battery life:

When your phone is charging, do not use it. Unhand it.

Look upon Facebook and other social/ media sites of their ilk as plagues.

    You are welcome!

I'm not a heavy phone user, and my Passport lasts for about a day. I thought it might be the OS version, so I switched to 10.3.1.1154, but that had no effect on battery life.

The battery life is about the same as on my Q10, but I'll admit that I don't use that phone nearly as much.

    I'm pretty disappointed, actually.

But I would say I am heavy user.
Gmail, outlook, work emails on push. Gmail - manual sync for contacts, calendar, and no sync for email.

Not sure if this is the best set up

This is my battery consumption. Is worse then a Z30. And I'm not a heavy user.

    Here's what I've noticed:

    1) Phone is fantastic in standby mode as long as it has a signal. On wifi and standby I can be at 100% for almost a whole day.

    2) If I'm using the phone as a work device (calls, emails, text, BBM, pdf's etc.), and doing these things only when required I can get 2 days out of it.

    3) If I'm using the phone to pass time (weekends) I can only get a day out of it because I'm on it all day.

Here's the weird thing; on weekends I spend a lot of time on CrackBerry reading through the forums and notice a significant decline in my battery life when I'm on it. I think the CB10 app has to be updated as it drains the battery faster than any other activity.

I don't use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social media.

    Hope this helps,

    Tim

Noticed this weird thing while experimenting for the changes in Mail account settings to get the best battery life, and my battery drained like crazy when I switched off Push and started sync for every 1 hour. My battery drained like crazy and PIM was eating up all of it. Any idea what's going on here? I thought Push was the one supposed to drain the battery!

Well, I think that push should save battery, not eat it.

I looked through that. Our Groceries was one offender, and I killed that using Ghost Commander. Another culprit was Talk2Watch. I've turned that off too.

Over the last cycle, it did drain about 15% during standby. I wonder what caused that.

My battery has been draining in the background too. I'm also trying to do some adjustments in the settings and applications to see what works best!

Am sure it's the other way around. When I did the same thing on my Z30, the battery life went from being good to being too good to be true!

So coming from a Z30. I don't think I'm getting a better battery life than the Z30. I would like other Passport owners to help me out here. Am using the out of box OS. Gives me one day. Am happy. Just curious about the battery life. Any Z30 converted or using with Passport, please update here the comparative battery lives of both. Hope nothing is wrong with my battery life :O

Not sure what is happening to mine, I charged to about 80% before I sleep, left it face down to save battery, and did not use it much on Saturday, yet battery was draining constantly... by 2pm, left only 20%. No android apps, no background apps, 3 emails. Sorry will try to add screen shot later, can't seem to be able to add photo using CB10 on Passport.

I experienced the same battery issue with my new blackberry passport too. I have owned it for about a week. And I sadly have been impressed by the battery Life.

First of all , I have tried the official / stock blackberry os when I received my device. Then I updated to the latest version ( 10.3.0.xxx) but as I said that I was not impressed by the battery life and I determined to load another os ( the 10.3.1.1016) , which contributed the sreeenshot above. The battery life is not impressive at all. ( I cannot imagine 2-3 hrs of heavy use) will result in dropping half battery life.

The sreeenshot happened within the two hours that I was setting up my passport after flashing the OS the 10.3.1.1016.

I feel pretty sad now because I got the phone all over from US and I live in Asia because of the impression ppm said but I now cannot benefit from this device on my own.

    Someone can help?

You have PIM services eating your battery.
How many email accounts you have? What are sync periods any other info?
