I get average battery life, on a average 22hours. For me the main thing that drains the battery is the browser. I tend to have more than a few webpages open (as many as 16!). During this time the battery drains relatively quickly, I get an average of 10-15hrs. I think the heavy use of memory eats up battery life.

From device monitor mine shows average battery life of 2 days and 4 hours. This is after 4 weeks plus of usages.

I wouldn't worry how much the battery graph predicts it will last. that can change like the wind. What matters most is real world timings of how long since the last charge. Personally i charge mine every night, but it has NEVER run out of power in a day. I call that the holy grail with the heavy usage I subject my phones to.

Pogo007: I had not heard that. Found this while reading up as well:

Simple Guidelines for Charging Lithium-based Batteries

A portable device should be turned off while charging. This allows the battery to reach the threshold voltage unhindered and reflects the correct saturation current responsible to terminate the charge. A parasitic load confuses the charger.

Charge at a moderate temperature. Do not charge below freezing.

Lithium-ion does not need to be fully charged; a partial charge is better.

You just need to click on the brightness icon, not the words, but the icon, the bar would appear.

My brightness is absolutely zero. I don't need more because I'm always indoors. Should try the battery life with increased brightness.

Use Blend when you have a computer/laptop/tablet handy. Drains about 1 percent per hour when Blending.

So coming from a Z30. I don't think I'm getting a better battery life than the Z30. I would like other Passport owners to help me out here. Am using the out of box OS. Gives me one day. Am happy. Just curious about the battery life. Any Z30 converted or using with Passport, please update here the comparative battery lives of both. Hope nothing is wrong with my battery life :O

I'm averaging final batt % approx 55% - 75% remaining by bed time end of day. I charge my phone nightly and my! Remaining batt life is lazing. I'm also using a tetded case with sleeper function and have noticed a difference in getting slightly longer batt life using the sleeper function so I think using a case with this feature will help improve it!

How's the service where you live/work op? I've noticed when I'm in the office where I have very little service on the 50th floor at times it drains the battery a bit faster since the phone is looking for service.

I think the best method to tell how the battery is performing is to fully charge it, stop all applications that are running so that your home screen is blank, turn off the screen and leave it for about 30-60mins and when you wake up the phone go check how many days/hours you have remaining.

If you have more than 2+ days then your getting a baseline discharge rate that is good to excellent.

When I do this test I get 3 days. If you have less than 2+ days then there is either a headless app, android app, or messaging update service that is draining your battery at an abnormal rate. Also it may indicate that your not get adequate signal strength in your area for whatever form of connectivity you have enabled on your device.

As a reference I have the following hub accounts:

    4 email
    Whatsapp
    Linkedin
    Facebook

I believe all emails are setup for push notifications except for 1.

I aslo get 4GLTE service with Tmobile (full bars at home) and never turn off wifi or bluetooth. That's it for connectivity.

My heavy usage gives me an estimated 10hrs but these things vary too greatly to be of any real use to someone else.

The main thing is to establish a base discharge rate with nothing doing.

My usage is all over the place, some days only an hour or two of phone calls and other days over six hours with email and texting in between. With that said, this is the first smartphone that I've never worried about making it through the day with. Some nights it might be down to 30% other days it's still above 50%. Overall great battery life for me.

Yeah. Same with me. When I'm out, I'm usually busy doing something and I use my phone heavily for directions and texting and surfing. I'm just on it whenever I get time. I'm at around 40% by night. When am home all day, its a different story :P. My phone is constantly being used since I get up and it surprisingly lasts all day. Very happy with it. Very very.

Have 5 email accounts (one of them is my corporate email), BBM, FB, phone calls (approximately 2 hours), one hour of music, couple of hours of FM radio, some gaming (Angry Birds), CB and it still will last more that 36 hours.
