I like the idea of a workbook, but I'd like to see a keyboard that is part of the case, and sold as a bundled item. I wish I could design stuff.

Our passport is the last os10 device. There will never be an android passport for that matter due to the screen aspect ratio. Enjoy your soon to be legacy device. Possibly the best that BlackBerry has ever made.

I've been waiting and hoping for a PP2 for a long time now. I've had the OG since launch and really think it's a great device for work (I need to write a lot and find the hub an amazing communication tool). It's actually my first blackberry phone, and it sucks that it may end up being my last. With Chen admitting that the smartphone market is increasingly difficult to find profit in, I'm wondering if lengthening the refresh cycle and releasing new editions of phones every 1.5-2 years would be a better model. I doubt this is his plan for the PP, but you never know.
I agree with previous comments saying that it makes more sense to release PP2 as opposed to spending all the R&D to create a brand new device from scratch. I'd buy it with BB10 or Android, but I really would prefer BB10. Market it as a work phone that allows you to actually be productive. Very few people seem to care about the security features.

I have to say.. The Passport 2 all touch looks very appealing... Just a shame BB10 is facing the grave.

I would absolutely love this. I'm a huge fan of bb10, I really do enjoy it more then android BUT if they were to release a second passport I would hope for better specs and it running Android so that apps would not be an issue.

If they release on Verizon, I'm all for it. But if it's gonna be another Priv where they delay the release until it's a generation behind, well, that's gonna be a problem for me I love the Passport. I don't love having to have a second carrier just to use it.

Only if they add are able to add pen support and sync across devices. That's where the market is heading to, cloud support and user input methods. But really they must make another Passport, even if they shortchange us and make it an Android device..

he also said this in January

BLACKBERRY HAS clarified its position on BlackBerry 10 (BB10) after CEO John Chen told a reporter last week that no new non-Android devices would appear in 2016.

and we now have 2 new android coming in 2016...

Don't trust what Chen is saying.

you dont take a year off with an OS and place it in maintanence mode, lay off the majority of the staff involved in the upkeep and development of the OS and then try to revive it when it sold poorly the first time around. They "might" make very small runs of devices for govt only but you will have specs from 2-3 years old by then to run it on.

Certainly the safest bet if you like the OS and accept the state of it 'as is'.

I made an account just to post this

YES. YES. YES. Dear god, a thousand times yes. It took a long time, but the Passport is FINALLY the perfect BlackBerry, no the perfect phone ever made period. I literally own 2 Special Edition Red Passports.

If BlackBerry made a second edition Passport 2 in red, I'd buy 'em up. Stuff that would get me excited?

    > BLACK HUB: JESUS CHRIST RIM HOW DID YOU MESS THIS UP?!?! I use hub every day and it kills me a little inside every day. I even considered inverting the colors, thats how bad I want this.
    > Faster focusing camera: It only works on still objects
    > Finger print scanner on the back
    > Updated screen to keep up with the times

THATS LITERALLY IT. BB10 or Android, I don't care, I'll buy multiples - just make it happen please !!!!

I wouldn't even know how to begin typing on a horizontal keyboard like that. The Passport 1 is already pushing it in terms of thumb-travel speed to comfort ratio.
