I submit that we wait for Passport to be unveiled and put to task. Judging by the past efforts, BlackBerry makes solid phones. So passport won't be different. See all the awards!

generally i agree they do make good phones. The passport will do well what its intended for i think also. I think its radical enough for some to stay away quite easily especially with the classic coming which i think will be a gem and very well accepted to the BB following masses.

I agree. BlackBerry makes really solid phones. I don't care if they beat iPhone or Android or whatever. They work for me, so I hope the company stays at least profitable enough to continue making this phones I love.

You want to say BlackBerry makes the best phones. ... so here in your statement there is a doubt. Just like CEO Chen said. "This is the BlackBerry Passport,.... because it's the size of a passport... we believe it's going to be a good phone".... no belief here. it's is supposed to be the flagship then it should be the best phone.

They've always had quality hardware and I believe that the upcoming BlackBerry Passport will be more of the same, possibly even better. While looking-up images online, I've noticed that the screen has unbelievable clarity.

The problem is that people don't just buy only devices anymore.

Good phones compared to what? Apple, Samsung, Nokia, HTC, Motorola, Chinese knockoff manufacturers?

Yes 1440x1440 in a 4.5" screen is going to be very high quality.

Good phones in their own right. The Passport is incomparable. BlackBerry build quality is always solid (except 8520)

Agreed! BlackBerry makes good phones... while others makes very good phones...

Z30 is already a good phone... and I don't think that BlackBerry Passport will make big difference for having a screen that has ratio 1:1 and a revolutionary keyboard... it will be run by the same OS and it will access the same BlackBerry World... exactly the same experience as other BB10 devices...

BlackBerry should be looking deeper on what users really wants... and focus more on how to provide them... what they are doing is really the hardest part of business strategy i.e. innovating something and convincing people that this is what you need...

Love my Bold 9900. I tried the Q10 and was disappointed in the hardware feature set and the software. Sent it back. Not nearly as good as my iPhone 5. So I imagine the Z10 would be about the same results. The q10 may have been a good phone if it was still 2010 but it's not! I'll stick with the Bold just for the keyboard, trackpad, and great feel and build quality of the phone. The Q10 just doesn't measure up and I was told at AT&T that the return rate for the Q10 was over 50% when they first came out and that is one reason why they no longer sell the phones in their stores. Plus Blackberry desktop software does not work for syncing my Bold to my Macbook OS any longer. So they want you to buy a Q10 or Z10 to use with Blackberry link. Why can't link also be used for older Blackberries? Only reason I can think of is that they want to push their new cheaper quality phones on people. I'm afraid Blackberry is going the way of the Dodo bird when it comes to phones.

BlackBerry has always been on the forefront of smartphone design heck the term smartphone was coined because of them. The Passport is so different from what's available right now that it may convince people to take a second look. I know it certainly has my attention lol

    Z30 and loving it!
