I will need to transfer my OG to my SE when it comes in this week
Does Blend make a mirror image of my passport, including .bar's and apk's? What about Cobalts play store?

No, Blend will not do this.
Use BlackBerry Link to archive a FULL backup (this includes all apps). Then once the new SE is setup with your BBID you can restore this backup to it.
You can also do the device swap on link, which does the same thing in a wizard format.

Ok. Thanks.
What does Blend do?
Posted with my BlackBerry Passport smartphone not running Android
Blend just allows you to use your phone through the laptop. That is, you can email, SMS and BBM (for example) through the desktop/laptop interface without having to have your phone.
@JuiciPatties... Thanks for your response.

Yes. Thank you. I have not used blend before. I will try it.

Ok. I see. It is like the bridge app that I use with my playbook

Yes, you can install Blend on PC, Mac, or tablet (Android or ipad)
As long as your BB10 device is connected to the network (cell or wifi), you can review content and respond remotely using blend. In theory you can forget your phone at home and still send BBM or SMS from work...
All you have to do is be sure Blend is enabled iin the device settings and pair your phone to the Blend app on the computer or tablet.
Capabilities:
- see your hub email accounts, and reply
- see BBM messages and reply
- see calendar, make appointments..
- see SMS messages and reply
- file manager, send or retrieve files between device or phone

That is definitely more than I can do with Bridge and my play book
Does the it work with the playbook?

Ironically, it is not compatible with the playbook.
But the Bridge App for BB10 still works and let's you to SMS and BBM.

Don't know if there's a fix yet, but I couldn't get either Blend nor Link to work with the latest macOS Sierra 12.0. If you're an Apple user, that is.

There is separate Blend subforum.

In my opinion, great software. But never promoted properly and abandoned before developed in full.
I like it anyway and use it on both PC and laptop.
Agreed. Chen and co. were fools not to market this capability developed by the old guard. So sad and such a waste.

I tried this today and it failed multiple times.
This is why I LOVE - LOVE - LOVE Blend!
It only works with BB10 devices... the old guard failed to relaunch BlackBerry's hardware hopes when they fumbled the launch of BB10. When Chen came on board.... it ended up being to "manage" an orderly retreat that would not cost the company more than they could afford to lose.
While Blend was a great idea and cool for those of us that could install it on a work PC.... vast majority of people today just don't use a personal PC, or have a work PC that they would be able to install some 3rd party software on. So why would the spend resources on marketing this niche software package?
Also, I believe, unfortunately, Blend no longer works on Android tablets. It was reported a while ago and I confirmed it stopped working on my Samsung TabS.
