BlackBerry Blend isn't even supported on Sierra, let alone High Sierra. It's no longer supported at all. As for WhatsApp, download the Android version from WhatsApp site. http://www.whatsapp.com/android and then install WhatsFixer from BlackBerry World.

I have no trouble at all running Blend on Sierra. Can't report regarding High Sierra since I don't have that installed on any of my Macs. Where I have encountered real problems, however, is using BB Link. I haven't had real luck since Yosemite with that one.

Also, there are some Web posts out there documenting installation workarounds for Blend on Sierra, like this one: http://www.qlambda.com/2017/04/insta...macos.html?m=1

This may apply to High Sierra as well. Anyway, worth a shot.

    Yes you can video call.

    Download WhatsApp from www.whatsapp.com/android.

Install app, tap OUTSIDE the box IF warned about Google Play Services.

    Run patch from BlackBerry World:

    http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/60005088

You will need an SD card for this to work.

I'm afraid I can't remember exactly, but here are some details:

I've only upgraded to High Sierra from Sierra, and previously from that (so not an OS installation from zero).

The reason I uninstalled and installed again was connection problems, but I eventually found that my ISP provided Alcatel router doesn't play nice with mac sharing, it wasn't a problem with Blend or Link, my two macs wouldn't see each other, so make sure everything works with your router. I have to connect my Macbook Pro via ethernet so other devices can see it, like my camera and the Passport.

I seem to remember I had some problems installing, when I connected the passport via usb it asked if I wanted to install Blend and Link, but I remember also looking for the apps from Blackberry's website, can't remember which one did the trick in the end, but if one didn't work I would uninstall, restart and try the other.

    https://us.blackberry.com/software/d...end#blendlinks

    https://us.blackberry.com/software/d...lackberry-link

In About Blend it says I have Client 1.2.0.52, Blend 1.2.1. 76. Link says version 1.2.2

Whenever I start Blend the firewall asks if I want to accept incoming network connections from DesktopInvokeProxy.

    Good luck!
