If I had to choose any other OS I'd go with Windows Phone 10 it's a nice OS but for me like others have said simple tasks like adding attachments to an email in the hub is super easy and fast.

Are you talking about WP7? I think the OP's question was about comparing BB10 to WP10, coming soon.

It was comparing BB10 to WP10. I was simply agreeing with some one that stated they didn't like windows 8. Then I added that I liked 7, on my PC.

I still would like a BB10 with windows phone integration and microsoft office... Or a WP10 phone with physical keyboard + blend

really, my ideal phone would be passport + lumia camera, windows tiles in place of BB cards, running BB10 as base OS for security but using WP10/android runtime apps (they really are prettier :S)

I just started a new job at Northrop Grumman and they dumped blackberry for windows phones. They have already replaced more than 11,000 blackberries with htc one m8 windows version phones. Personally, I would have preferred the blackberry.

Why not both? I used to have a Passport and and Z10... now I have a Lumia 920 and a Passport. Figured it made no sense to have blackberry phones doing the exact same things... and with me having a windows 8.1 desktop and tablet, a windows phone was the most logical buy as a second phone

Yes! I got a Nokia 909 a/k/a Lumia 1020 when i couldn't take my Z30's camera any longer. My Z30 and iPhone 6 Plus are my top two phones now. The Nokia remains a tertiary device, used nowadays mainly for its awesome camera. Windows Phone 8.1 OS is too quirky for me, and M$ is in worse shape for its phones' future. At least in theory BlackBerry can trot out a BlackBerry 10 (or 11?) OS that includes the a Trojan horse like QNX Hypervisor running Android OS on the side/inside.

Windows 10 is appealing me to shift from BB10. Outlook has been quite robust for emailing. My only hitch is apps since most android apps will require Google services compatibility.

Just today Microsoft released the new windows 10 and one of the things I am looking forward to is the emailing. The biggest questions I have.

1. Is it better than bb10.
2. Which windows phone should I get now or wait for new versions to come out?

I am so interested in the Lumia 930 model.

While I'm really itching to get a new phone, since it appears that Windows 10 for mobile might hit right around the same time as whatever the new BlackBerry will be, I'm going to wait it out and see what things look like in the Fall. I have been a lifelong BlackBerry user, so my skewed preference will be for the BlackBerry, but this whole Windows 10 synergistic evolution has me really intrigued.

My biggest complain about BlackBerry Passport or bb10 is the following:

1. Notifications don't work properly for LinkedIn, weather alerts (I know I can buy 3rd party but sorry that comes by default,...etc notifications in general is horrible for me compared to android. This is a big thing to me. Today all phones around me rcving heat alert and just BlackBerry doesn't not that I care about that but I felt outdated.
2. Camera is not that great (takes way too long to focus and I have kids).
3. Most apps are not well optimized to the passport.

At the end the only thing that keeps me for changing right now is the keyboard, hub, email, build quality. If I can find those four things on a different OS I will switch right away.

After using IOS I would never go back to a windows device! Apple has done a great job with their products they all work so well together. I keep my Passport just for emails and work.

I am surprised you say the email client isn't great. I had a windows phone for over 2 years and just switched to the passport. The reason I stayed with windows was the email client. Even now I can safely say I haven't used a better client for my personal and work email needs and I have used many.
You get a windows phone for work emails you will never regret it. That thing is the boss when it comes to dealing with emails and responding organising, flagging, managing, ease of use and reliability.
I never had a single problem and to be honest I have removed my work emails from my BlackBerry its a nightmare to manage them such that I get what I want and not every thing come through.

I've had a Lumia 830 since April - it's my daily driver - and I can barely stand to use the email after using BB10 for 2 years. I miss being able to add whatever attachments I want to an email, I miss the keyboard (and I had a Z10 - not even physical), I miss the Hub, I miss being able to sort through attachments from within the Hub, I miss being able to check my days appts with a quick swipe down in the Hub, I miss all my email options...sigh.

There are lots of things I like about my Windows phone, but email is not one of them.

Until someone else releases a phone with a qwerty keyboard, I don't have any need to comparison shop.

Having said that, it seems that BlackBerry is going to have an edge over WP10 in two ways where MS is unlikely to fill the gap:

1. Hub. Just fantastic. We all see the MS model for handling email, and it just isn't as nice. And they've already had forever to make improvements to it. Outlook seems to get worse every time it is "improved."

2. Memory/storage usage. All those updates! Patches, etc. Wow. Inefficient use of storage is just baked into the MS DNA. I actually store more email history on my PP than I can on my 128 GB Surface Pro 3 because Windows just uses gobs of space to do anything!


But BlackBerry, if you're listening, will you please get rid of your stupid email attachment size limit? It isn't 1999, anymore. Geez.
