I'm thinking to buy as well cheap android phone. As much they not develop new apps for. BlackBerry Passport I love it.
Last option is to buy BlackBerry Priv. But it is no good as Passport. And Priv keyboard isn't comfortable.

Hi all,

Unfortunately Whatsapp here in Jamaica is the defacto IM option. I will occasionally use BBM with my wife who has a Q10 (when I remember) but am in several groups with my staff and friends and family from the UK & even Colombia who use whatsapp.

I love my BBPPSE and am seriously considering buying a cheap android phone JUST to have whatsapp? Traveling with 2 phones will be a B**ch and because it's tel # based, this will be a pain to do as well.

For those BlackBerry owners who absolutely have to use/have Whatsapp, how do you plan to deal with this problem come year end?

Sold my passport because of this , got myself a Priv, personally it's not as good as my passport , but it has everything and more . It is what it is.

I'd suggest getting a new device any way since BlackBerry 10 devices aren't produced anymore and api keys for new apps exist no more as well as no real system support from blackberry themselves .

Just my 5 cents

I'd suggest keeping calm. If you meant api for fb, the original fb app still works.
