The 64 bit octa-core specs may not be needed for regular users but IMHO it would attract a lot more apps into the ecosystem.. especially if they're not going to release on Q1

The R099 is not Q30 but the SQN-1005 (Q10 Sprint)
The specs maybe are true, I am suspicious about screen resolution ,cameras resolution and wifi ac
Absolutely FALSE. The Q10 for Sprint is already out and has the same specs as all other carrier Q10's.

What a load of crap...
The R099 is the Q10 for Sprint...
1280x768 will no longer be used
The MSM8960T Pro doesn't go up to 2.3Ghz. You have to change SoC generation for that...
It's just someone's wet dream for a device which should have been released this year...
Anyone else notice the 5MP front facing camera?? That is ridiculously huge, for a front facing camera.

Tx for clarification. I'm inclined to trust more of what you say than some journalist's write up.
They'll have updates

I'm going to start saving up. Since I used my upgrade for the Q10 I'll have to buy it at retail price :(

I for one hope they don't release a new q10 or q30 (this year) BlackBerry should try and use the apple way, a new phone once a year ( in their case a z series and a q series every year). And that also includes complete updates for old updates, in this case it'd be the q10 if a q30 is released. One of the biggest about android phones for me is that they seem to have a new phone coming out every other week. Blackberry also needs to continue to support all their devices. As others are saying, if the q30 requires 3 gigs, just to run 10.3, we can basically basically throw q10s out the window. Although 10.2.1 is a very good os and I'm in no way complaining about it, it's still far from a complete, and competitive os, when being compared to ios and droid. S

wow... that sounds amazing. honestly, all i want is my q10 with a bigger screen. these specs offer up so much more than that.
*crossing fingers
The 'Qualcomm MSM8960T Pro' is the same processor in the Z30 and it is only 1.7 Ghz dual core... It would need to be a Snapdragon 800 series for it to be a quad core 2.3 Ghz.
Link: Snapdragon (system on chip) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Which would be consistent at least with the Z30 since its processor was essentially a year old when launched so it the Q30 launches summer of next year, the 800 will be a year old as well.
Will be interesting to see how it runs under quad core. I'm thinking this and the extra RAM will help speed up running Android apps.
The post I've been waiting for! Leave it to Ofutur to always knock sense back into people!
The MSM8960T is the Snapdragon S4 Pro that goes up to 1.7 GHz. There are a lot of inconsistencies.
Enough with the 3GB RAM minimum claims/rumors/discussions. You guys sound ridiculous. This will not be the case so let's just kill that nonsense right here.

As much as It tries, this is no 1280x768 aspect and I'm hoping they amaze me with a smartphone using that resolution sporting a physical keyboard. Only time will tell, but it would be a really nice surprise :-D

Having more RAM will be useful for mobile computing, using a 64bit chip and virtualisation, but that's for the 2nd half of 2014 at the earliest...
If my math is not terribly mistaken, 1280*768, 4 incher has a display size of 87mm*52mm, with square pixels. This does not make sense, the display bezel should be 11 mm on both sides (for a vertically placed display, device dimensions stated as 75mm*142mm).
2014? Tell that to Apple :rotfl:

Internal memory 16gb??? I hope it will be 32gb at least.. my z10 is running low on internal memory since I installed some >1,x Gb games..

This would make sense if it was in cm

Apple designs their own chip and they're not using the full potential of the A7 yet. What it gives them and iOS developers is a nice testing platform for next year's models. Don't be surprised if a new iPad Air running OSX along with virtualised iOS apps gets released in the near future...
BlackBerry is waiting for chips from Qualcomm and in the mean time, they get their OS ready for the jump.
That is awesome! Hope it it true. #TeamBlackberry10

Llol I've seen so many sites post something like this, and people post it back here, what many of you all don't know, is that these specs come from concepts on crackberry,
