Now, the point that everyone seems to constantly be missing is that BlackBerry is devaluing it's brand and product by doing this so soon after the launch. I know what they want, I get that, score more sales. Nothing wrong with that. However, Passport is their flagship product, it was just released, and it's already getting deep discounts. Moreover, by advertising the Passport at $499, they are demonstrating that they can sell it for much lower than their asking price. Why would anyone after this buy Passports at $699? First, it's a middle finger to early adopters, the loyal BlackBerry customers. Second, it's a middle finger to all Canadians who are now officially overpaying for this device in excess of $200. So you explain to me please, how is it "good" to tank the value of your flagship product so fast after launch?
Before some doofus posts how it's $599 in Canada, it's irrelevant. Canadians have been paying a $200 premium compared to the new US price.
