After sitting idle on my desk for 1.5 years, I decided to re-fire up my Passport, mainly for some high quality business calls and emailing.

What is the easiest way to update my contacts list from the BB Key2 to the Passport? My contacts are already backed up on Google Drive.

    Thanks in advance.

You should be able to just log into your passport with the method below and all will be good.

Not working with me: "An unexpected problem occurred". There must be something I'm doing wrong.

So for the last 18 months, you’ve been providing your counterparts and clients with low quality business calls and emails?!? That’s not very nice of you........

    JK - but couldn’t resist

How did you transfer contacts from Passport to Key2 1.5 years ago?

Import / Export from a .vcf file

Using BB Worlds Ghost Commander open the Applications menu, scroll down to c, and long press the other contacts app in this list. 'com.android.contacts'

I think I exported from their web version of contacts, in settings and imported to the embedded android cotacts app.

Easy way is app that uses Bluetooth, look in app store for: Bluetooth contact transfer. Install on both phones and poof contacts are transferred.

Honestly, it's 2020. The very thought of local-only contacts is laughable.

BB10 launch kinda forced me to move all mine... as at lauch LINK didn't sync with desktop outlook anymore (was fixed later).

But I'm glad I did it, and I tended to install a new leak every month and LINK wasn't reliable about backup and restores. Made the process so much easier to deal with.

Especially for those that have 5K, 10K or even 20K contacts.

The above method worked smoothly! Thank you!

Though imported contacts are not identified as part of "Local contacts". How come?

Ohh yea, probably a where problem, or maybe vcf needs prodid of rim and guid.

You know what? I just put the vcf from google on my sdcard, tapped it and it let me import them no need for ghostcommander.

    Sorry about that.

True but when working with a crippled OS, you go with what works
