Having some issues with the. 2639 update on my Passport. Battery drain is ridiculous! I'm at 48% after taking it off charge at 6AM. In just 3hrs, my battery has drained there is nothing running. My Passport has also started running hot along the right side where my volume buttons are located. I don't have to use the phone for it to get hot. Two questions:

What is the best OS to prevent this drain and heat issue?

Is the tmobile update OS to add WiFi on the classic able to be placed on the Passport(quite possibly a dumb question, but I don't know)?

Have you checked to see if it's an app that's causing the issue?
Try doing a hard reset if you haven't already done so.

I have the same problem. The fix was to go back to 3G and 3.5G... that fixed it.... at 3.5G, the speed is enough for what I need in terms of email and limited surfing...so now I get about 18hrs.

I have no option for 3.5G on my Passport OG Red. Care to elaborate?

No apps are draining the battery. Reset and battery pulls all done to phone. Ended up loading. 2789 , have had no issues so far. No overheating and no battery drain. Seems pretty stable. Now if I could only get WiFi calling to work......

I am almost certain you installed an Adroid app that causes so much drain.

After loading the same OS, I've also noticed significant heat and battery drain. This phone used to last be close to 40 hrs consistently, and now I'm down to 20-24, with the odd time it lasting me slightly more. Disappointing

Botched update is a very rare. Autoloader are best as long as you don't restore old apps and settings. I always keep my Sunday aside for destructive update and apart from usual whining about performance, rough apps and too much heat has never been an issue here.
Try not to restore from Link, cull the rough apps and keep an eye on BBVe stats. Thats all pretty much you need to get sorted with an update.
