Sorry for what might be a really stupid question...Long time Bold 9900 user, but Passport arrives today! What is the best way to ensure FAST deliver of emails to the Passport now that I will loose BIS? I understand most email accounts can take 10-15 minutes to get to device? I have email set thru my provider Shaw in Canada, but also have it forwarded to Outlook.com and can set up Gmail if needed....Also would like advice on best online calendar to sync with my device. I use Outlook 2007 on PC but haven't been able to get that calendar to sync with Outlook.com online....would love one online calendar that would sync device & PC. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated...

I am using my Outlook.com account for online sync with contacts and calendar. Works most of the time, I only had a problem with multiple items a week ago, where I had to delete and recreate the account on the device.
Mails work great too, delivery on my BB10 set to "push" is virtually instant!

Hopefully not double-typed with my Q10

Outlook syncs immediately. I get them on my BlackBerry sometimes before it shows on my email page via Web.

Outlook.com is instantaneous. I'll be responding to emails via web interface and the convo will show up in my hub.

Gmail works great for calendar and contacts.

With regard to email: any server which can handle IMAP idle will deliver mails immediately. Usually my mails will arrive at the same time both on my android and BlackBerry devices.

Honestly, a lot of email providers support push email through IMAP. You might just find that your current email account will deliver instantly. Both of mine do, the one from my ISP and my hosted account from another ISP. I actually get my email faster with out BIS now.

Also, Outlook.com is the way to go for contacts and calendar, and naturally if your emails don't push immediately.

Outlook.com is the best way to go these days...Exchange ActiveSync just works, across all platforms. Unless you're heavily invested in the Google Apps platform already, Outlook.com is the only real choice for Windows users in my opinion.

There is one alternative I found from a blog that teaches you how to sync Blackberry with Outlook using EVO Collaborator for Outlook. I simply use configured my Gmail account on both my BB and Outlook. Then contacts and calendars can be synced bi-directionally.

Outlook.com for me as it is more or less exchange running in the cloud and as many of you know exchange runs great with the BlackBerry and don't worry the emails will still almost be instant. It is for me most time it is faster then on my computer.
