    LOL

That might be the worst trade in value I've ever seen of all time. It's like if I bought a 70,000 Mercedes Benz last year from the dealer and they offered me a trade in value the next year of 3,000. I think even if I totaled the car and blew up the engine, they'd give me more than that.

That number is ridiculous, and there's likely a number of Passport owners that would jump at the chance to upgrade to a Priv if the trade in price was right. In Bell's defense, and a not so subtle swipe at BlackBerry, there's probably not a whole lot of customers to be upset by this...

That's totally harsh! Was your Passport in pieces? I don't understand that at all... $30??? Brutal. You should ask what they do with them afterward because if they only pay $30 for them, they must resell them dirt cheap!

That's low, especially when you have to pay the normal price for the new device.

LMAO. How is that preying on public? First, resale is based on demand. No demand, no resale value. Second, resale is voluntary. No one is making you sell back or trade in your phone. If you don't like offer don't accept the offer. WOW..

OP, what phone are you trying to trade up to? Don't complain here if you are trying to get an iPhone... LOL

... and that begs the question, why not sell it on these forums or somewhere else if you don't like their offer?

The standard trade for a Passport is $30.00 with Bell which likely will go down pending on the wear and tare. It does not matter which phone you want to trade up too...

There aren't many scenarios where a company will give you a better value for your trade-in then a private sale, because they still want to make a profit. It's just absolutely ridiculous that the Passport is that low. Selling it privately should get you a minimum of $350 right now. If it's in poor condition then perhaps less. But $30 to $100 is a joke. They are basically just saying that they don't want your Passport and to bring it to someone else.

    2 things here

    1. Your looking at trade in value not resale. Trade in value is set by the buyer based on how much they want that model phone.

    2. It's all arbitrary. When I tried to get my z30 at the verizon store, I was going to have trade in my 9730 and get a $100 trade in. This did not jive with what I had seen online. The rep "couldn't find" what I had seen on line. Consequently, I went online got the same net price without a trade in.

If you want more sell it yourself directly or at least seek out better resellers to buy it.

It's Bell. What else would you expect?

I'm sure the only phone worth $350 to them would be a high capacity new iPhone 6 or 6s

My first BlackBerry was a curve 3200 if memory serves me right... then many other curves, holds and torches, Z10s, Z30s... and finally the Passports... you might have surmised that I am accident prone: water and beverage damage, theft and envy of the new shiny models explained the many hand sets I have cycle through... I also had every version of the Playbook.I love BB10 for the HUB and it's. overall ease of use. For the longest two weeks of my life used a loaner Galaxy S4 which drove me mad.
I still enjoyed my Passport but echoing a previous can no longer recommend BlackBerry phones to my friends... No so long ago I would take to task anyone close to me for supporting what I felt to be a superior Canadian mobile device...
I dread the day that my Passport will need to be replaced and I will have to choose between an IOS and Android hand set...
