So... the Passport is $300 at bell and $250 everywhere else.

Has anyone had any luck price matching? I called and they said it was impossible, I didn't want to argue the point bc that wasn't the main reason I called.

Do they not have to price match if there is no difference in the item?

Feels like their smacking their customers across the face. I wonder how many will leave them for another carrier? Hmm.

Thing is I have to pay $400 to get out of my contract if I want to save $50 on the phone... and they know that.

I'm trying to switch to a Corp plan (teachers) and that will save me $20 a month, so if I get that the! 50 isn't that big of a deal... but I still shouldn't have to pay it.

I think Rogers is/was $200 and I got Telus to match it to $200 and they did it with no questions asked. This was about a month ago.

Telus had a deal where they were the only supplier for two weeks. After that they went up to 250. Bell specifically says it will not do price matching in its stores. Your best bet would be to try a non branded store that carries multiple brands.

My Bell corporate store matched future shop's price which was 199 at the time. I paid a little over $200 after taxes on a 2 year renewal.

I went to Bell my contract was up. I was ready to pay that price but the gentleman said I would get it for $249.99 I am assuming if your are renewing your contract then you get it at the lower price. I think the $299 price is for new Bell customers. I have been with Bell for close to ten years though so maybe that's why they gave the $50 discount.
