Being on the fence
I wonder if we are just being shortsighted sticking with the Passport. I know it's all about comfort and utility. So my gut reaction is no.
However, I look at my path, so multikey blackberry for work only, one of them blue ones, switch to my Razr, a Samsung Blackjack run, a 9700, then unfortunately a 9800. I immediately got a 9900 when I realized a sting with two cups was better than a 9800, but ran into the same slowdowns and nervously went to BB10.
Then I was real trepidations about this Passport. That whole line of upgrade not counting the first two made me concerned. I dunno...I guess I'm just venting concern over a trivial matter in lfe or "first world problems:" which cellphone will you use Throckmorton??.

There are plenty of thread like this one for you to read and make your own decisions. On that note, the Passport is a work horse and will last for many years.

If you think you'll be comfortable with it, it'll reward you greatly.

Oh, I have had a Passport for over a year! I love it -- I'm just saying are we being short sighted in not going for a Priv. It looks slick, but geez. . .all the problems of heat and Android weirdness and I HATE sliders. I blame Paris Hilton. Oh and the 9800.
I do wonder the fuss on Android -- guess I just don't use alot of apps.
For me, this Passport better work foreva!

Passport is a tank. It takes a long time for that phone to die. It can handle a lot. If you like BlackBerry and are in the market for a new phone, the Passport won't let you down.

I don't understand the concern. If your BB10 device stops working or no longer satisfies...then go out and buy an Android or an iPhone. Until that time comes...I'm sticking with what I know and what I like...which happens to be BB10. I have no qualms about buying something else when the time comes. But that time has not come. Without question...I'll know it when it does come.
My new AT&T Passport is great! I kept my Z10 as a backup.

What if what if
All this angst and what good does it serve?
If you don't like it and you take care of it, someone will buy it. Find what works for you....
I love this Passport - it's smarter than I am but I'm learning and this workhorse will serve met very well - especially when I learn to use it to its full capabilities. There's a lot to this beast.
It's the silver edition - beautiful, great build - amazing.

Priv problems and heat problems have been reported solved with the recent updates. Can't see leaving PP for many years. I'm sure we will see another BB10 device someday.
