A lot of threads seem to criticize the camera on the Passport, but having used a Samsung Galaxy S3 then a Z10 and a Z30 (which was truly awful), I'm quite impressed with the PP's output. Yes, it's a bit slow, but if you take the trouble to focus properly and wait for the green square, the resulting image is clear and sharp. Now, maybe they could do with licensing image processing software from Olympus....

Glad to hear you enjoy the passport camera, myself can't a good photos of my kids which means the camera is useless in my opinion. Action mode indoor after work always turn out under expose even with flash force on, while the indoor lights at my living room seem more than adequate prior to taking the photo. If I used Auto mode the photos will be more than just garbage, this is just my opinion, not venting my frustration though. I am sure what else I can do to help better image of the kids when they are not stay still (my kids are 5 and 2 years old), my z30 seems away better in this situation. I just don't really want to return the, but now I'm considering the option. Thanks for reading.

My friend and I visited a dome here in Singapore to take pictures of Christmas themed indoor park, she, using her new iPhone 6+, me my BlackBerry pp. Some parts of the dome were dark that even my DSLR gave up. My BlackBerry didn't. I took pictures and it was very crisp and clear I didn't even have to use the flash to lighten the subject. My friend's Iphone6 didn't make it either. Without the use of the flash, all the subjects were in the dark.

I don't like using the flash even at night because it dilutes the feel of the picture. It just distorts the message I want it to portray. I am very surprised and very happy with the reliability of the passport. It's true that we just have to wait for it to focus, and once the little green comes up, it captures beautiful pictures. It's also true what they say: we can't rush art anyway.

All you need is love (of Passport) 🎵
