If you're trying to install a BAR file, that has to be done with a PC. To switch to BBMe just open BBM, swipe down from the top to open settings, scroll to the bottom and select Switch to BBM Enterprise. But be warned, BB10 BBMe does NOT support the consumer subscriptions so unless you have a corporate subscription you will be confronted with an error when signing in, and may need to wipe the device in order to get past it.

I still don't understand why BlackBerry didn't at least make BBME compatible with BBM

What do you mean?
BB10 BBM users can talk to BBMe users on other platforms.
BBM works with other BBMe users... not sure what you are missing or trying to do.
Yes try and join a BBME group. And try using another device.

Ya, the full functionality isn't there for sure, but there are so few people left using BBM on BB10 that it isn't worth the developers to update the app.
