    For starters, I'm on ATT and I cannot get LTE because of the whole IMEI issue. I am setting up my replacement Passport as my original one had a physical defect.

    Here's my BBM screen.

    And I am currently getting 4G despite the notice. What's the deal? Could it be that I need to setup my device without the sim card installed?

    Yeah, I'm posting, right? I setup the phone with the sim installed. So...
    Before it worked fine, but I set it up before I had an ATT sim card. I feel like ATT is pulling some strings behind the scenes.

    What steps, aside from coming to CB and asking for help, have you already taken?

    Have you tried calling AT&T?

    I literally just began setting this up, Crackberry is the first place. And this is my second Passport. It has to be associated with the IMEI issue. I know ATT will be of no help on the phone, so I'll drop by the shop and try to get a dummy IMEI.

    Do a hard reset? I've been using an ATT gophone sim card with a walmart-bought data card package for a week and everything has been working fine. Didn't have to do anything other than active the card with an AT&T branded used galaxy S4 to make sure I got LTE.

    Is this an existing SIM card? If you're getting data then BBM should be working on AT&T. Some carriers had special provisioning for BBM, but not AT&T.
