I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure BBM on legacy OS lets you assign custom colors to contacts. I seem to remember it being there anyway. But I agree, it would be nice to have it on the latest version. I'd much rather have something like that than the stupid stickers.

I think you should edit your original comment and change "media" to "video". Ebooks, still pictures, PDFs, audiobooks, podcasts, and music are all media. Letterbox video is just one narrow (ha!) form.

The video watching experience on the Passport can be compared to the video watching experience on the Z10 or iPhone 5, since it will display in a size somewhere between the two, but with higher resolution. That is, anyone who's happy with the video watching experience on either of these two devices (i.e., anyone who doesn't demand a 5" screen) should be happy with video on the Passport.

Audiobooks, Podcasts, Music... do these really matter when you are talking about the screen??? Sure Ebooks will be a joy to read on the Passport.... as long as you find an app that will scale to the screen.... never have understood why BlackBerry hasn't created a eBook Reader.

Still Pictures... If you take 1x1 shots on a regular bases I guess it should do just fine. Even with many pictures being for "posting" to social media where 1x1 is the norm.... I still prefer to do 16x9 shots, just in case I want them to put on a monitor or display them on my TV.

Anyone really interested in HD Videos, isn't going to be looking at the Passport anyway.

And honestly....I don't care at all. Not needing to reorient the phone when I watch a short video and still having a screen of the size of an iPhone in landscape mode really makes up for it in my case. NEVER watched a movie or TV show on my Z10.
