That's OK. Lots of people use feature only phones instead of smartphones ;-)

If "feature phones" sync email, contacts, calendar, tasks and notes perfectly with Exchange server, offer maps and directions, access to OneDrive, Box and Dropbox files, and do all the other things that my four-year-old Z10 does out of the box, then I'm all in on feature phones. :-)

I don't remember all that greatness at launch with 10.0 and 10.1 as the first impressions. I struggled moving from OS7 to BB10 until 10.2.1 came out. Missing features and ported apps issues galore since many OS7 app versions were not redeveloped for native BB10. First year with BB10 was brutal and became usable. Second and third year better with 10.2.1-10.3.2 as things steadily improved. Year 4, I felt like I did with some of the old feature devices compared to OS4-7 back in the day.

I'm still using a BB10 device on CB10 for instance, but we've definitely moved past BB10 forever. LOL

Yes, I remember you saying you had a hard time with BB10. I didn't. I'd been a long-time BBOS user who was dual carrying a Bold 9900 and an iPhone from 2010-2013. I sold my iPhone and retired my 9900 within two weeks of getting the Z10 on launch day. I've been completely satisfied with BB10 from day 1 until now, though I agree it kept getting better with each update.

I'm going to give the KEYone a real shot at being my new daily driver. But I'm prepared to stay with BB10 for another year or more if need be.

    My two cents..
If developing for BB10 would simply be a hobby and just for fun, then by all means go for it. We can use more apps. But if it's your business then you're in for heartache and struggle.

As a suggestion, why not look into developing for QNX or IoT using Blackberry? Those are the areas that are growing and where BlackBerry is actually hot *hit.

Developing for embedded isn't the same thing as developing for a consumer platform, though.

There's at least a couple of BB10 apps I'd like to buy, but can't get Paypal to work, and I won't leave my credit cards directly on the phone... So if you make a cool app, make sure there's an easy and safe way of paying you, that doesn't rely on BlackBerry World.

I processed my payment through BBW and then deleted it from the payment options less than 60 seconds later.

Paypal isn't supported by bbw anymore.

I remember that for the app I bought last week. I just used the regular credit option because it was there and I could just go back and delete immediately. Whether through PayPal or Credit you're putting the same info out there over the net.

Paypal has some recourse available and does not reveal buyer credit or bank information to the seller. I wonder if it was BlackBerry or Paypal that did the dumping...

I had the error with PayPal over 1 year ago and after trying many different things to fix it, I finally did. Alas, I cannot remember how i did it but it had something to do with deleting all accounts both in my PayPal account and also in my device. Just cannot remember what all was involved.

I'm a merchant. I don't see or get any financial information through merchant account usable for anything. Through AMEX, DS, MC, VISA all offer buyer protection when you run your card as credit vs PIN.
