    Since some of you guys already are lucky to call a BlackBerry Passport their own I would like to raise the question about the battery life.

    Maybe someone who has one or knows someone can compare it to the z30.

    Thanks in advance for some inside

    Have you had experiences with the z30?
    Just to compare how much that last based on your daily usage

    Not everybody use music video or other yes but there are some people who use these fonction everyday and we want know that's all, remember the Z30 normally he got a battery life for 25 hours, that's wrong because mine have a 7 hours battery life, if the passport is the same I'll not buy sure

    2 days doesn't say much when some have claimed 2 days on a Z10. I imagine the battery life is impressive though but I'll wait for real reviews or more solid info on it

    I think it will be the same as the Nokia 1520 and with heavy heavy use I managed to get about a full day and had 30 percent left when I went to bed. 7am till 11.30 pm.

    2 days on the Z10
    HahahaHahahah .
    I use 3 batteries per day on my Z10.

    But yeah, I would be interested in some informations about the Passport, considering this theme.
    If is lasts 3 times longer than the Z10 with one battery, I am perfectly happy.

    Will put all other battery lives to shame.

    Doubtful.
    People said that about the Z30 as well, and that was just wrong.
    Pretty much every Android flagship outlasts it.

    I just want 3 times the battery life of my Z10, and I wouldn't complain.

    Z30 = 2880
    Passport = 3450

    Even though the Passport's battery is much bigger, it has a much higher PPI, better graphics and more cores to power, plus the touch sensitive keyboard. So I would estimate that the passport would be advertised the same as the Z30 "25 hour day" all day long type thing. More battery is defiantly needed to power all that POWER (which I very much like)

    That's pretty bad for a Z30. Mine lasts at least 12 hours. Most of the time, I would only need to charge the phone once a day, at most.

    Actually, with the S800 and newer processors, battery life was increased due to less CPU cycles. The speed allows processes to get finished quicker, and thus, scale to a lower power mode on the fly.

    Quite cool stuff. I predict a battery champ here.

    Ha I'm with u. I can't even imagine how little u have to touch a Z10 to get that kind of battery life. Even when I think I'm barely using my Z10 I can only go 14 hours tops. Regular usage though I also go through 2 to 3 batteries a day.

    Mayb BlackBerry did this for a reason though cause they nearly had me sold on the Passport just knowing it had a 3450 mAh battery lol. I can't wait to get a new phone because of my Z10's battery life

    Battery life has two components. There is standby time, and max draw. For example, I am one of those imaginary people who get a full day from my Z10. If I leave the phone on my desk and don't touch it (ie standby), it will last well into the second day. If I play heavy 3d games (batman) I can flatten it in around 5 hours. Now real life is a combination of the two. My battery graphs have long flat sections between large dips. The number of large dips pretty much determines the life that day.

    So, the passport has a monster battery. In standby (screen off, very little happening) it will probably last a very long time. If you go for max draw with screen on bright, processors at 100%, 4g screaming, then you will probably flatten it in 5-8 hours. The trick is - if you want a laptop, get one. I reckon as a phone, this thing will last a long long time. Most people will get a solid, FULL day from it.

    You are right but I think it's still not adaptable that it flattens your battery in a day in standby mode.

    I'm a heavy user (twitter bbm browser emails) and my z30 lasts less than a day.

    There are still many simple battery saving measures BlackBerry hasn't taken advantage of.
    Like for example the one I came up with before bb10 launched

    Switch to 2g as soon as it is inside the holster
    Nobody needs 4g inside the holster.
