People here are reporting full days of battery life but the screen shots of Device Monitor show 12 hours of battery life with what appears to be "medium" use.....

The battery life will be what makes me buy this phone (after dealing with a pathetic Z10 battery since launch).

I'm happy with the battery life so far. I know that it will take a few more days to get settled in but after playing with the Passport pretty regularly yesterday, it made it through the day just fine. It reminds me of the Z30's battery life, right now (which is just fine).

Quite happy with the battery life so far, limited use during work but decent usage since... everything still settling in so it will be even better.

Was trying out Blend at the end of my work day that's why it was charging for that period. Have it setup for wifi now so Monday I'll get a more accurate image.

Coming from a Q10 it blew me away

Think my z30 gets the same battery life. I know the passport is running more but I don't see what BlackBerry claims for batterylife. But I do love this device. Stats for 2 days of work using the phone

Conditioning the battery is not by draining it to zero!!! That's the worst thing you can do with the battery!! Just let it drain to 15% and the charge all the way up

Just saying, make sure you fully charge that device the first few days, you need to properly calibrate the battery on the system and just little bits here and there messes that up a fair bit!

I know you meant well, however just so everyone knows, Lithium Ion batteries dont need "conditioning" as they dont have a battery memory. At best if your feeling up to it, after approx 30 discharges do a full discharge (every month or so take it to 1%), but partial charges are fine. Keep at room temp and try not to let it fully die on you.

It's interesting that on all the threads that I've seen on battery life, the screen shots always show a high percentage for Display - much higher than I have seen on the Z30. I'm not saying I'm surprised by this (because of the big screen), but it is an indication that prudent setting of the screen-related functions (brightness, time-out, etc) is important in order to achieve a decent battery life.

Many thanks to Passport users who posted screenshots. Unfortunately those pictures don't explain how exactly the device was used. Time on calls, number of emails/texts, browsing time, "entertainment" time, hours in bedtime mode, any Skype or another "battery killer" app, - all that would be interesting to know.. Network 2G or 3G, WiFi, etc.
And if someone, by chance, has Battery Guru installed, this application could help to study battery consumption parameters in details.

But thanks anyway and please do keep share your experiences.

And I'm intrigued not to see PIM Services - it is my top battery waster. Or is it just me - with 4 email accounts and frequent sync.

It's more in line with the Z10 because of the fact it's not OLED where blacks don't have to display, hence your dark themes.

It's still amazing battery life on both devices though, super looking forward to this phone!

Im not that happy with the battery life but overall the phone is good and neat for business users...

Perhaps you should look through these threads for all of the solutions to poor battery life... most PP users seem to be averaging 16hrs-2days depending on how settled it is...
