Well I have had my passport for 24 hours now. Playing with it last night and working with it all day opening up architectural drawings, organizing crews email, texting, phone calls from 7am till 5 pm and letting my kids watch a movie I still have 20% on my battery. WOW this phone is a beast. No need for external battery pack anymore

I charged mine full last night since it came out of the box dead, and still at 35% tonight. Very pleased so far.

Just saying, make sure you fully charge that device the first few days, you need to properly calibrate the battery on the system and just little bits here and there messes that up a fair bit!

Also to everyone, please post what kind of battery you guys are getting in a couple days once the accounts and everything fully settle, I'm curious to see how it fairs!

Here my battery life for the first day of use in a real life situation. Impressed so far... at least half an hour of video streaming, all the BlackBerry earning call (I think one hour?) in audio streaming.
Then office all day connected via blend and using more the Passport than the PC to send work email (around one hundred).
BBM audio call and regular phone calls
Then some music player downloading albums from my dropbox to the SD card, the inevitable posts on Crackberry and multiple installations (also from SNAP).
    Very very impressive

Maybe it would be better if the brightness is set to lower settings.

So far it seems like everything I've read here could be achieved on the Z30. Nobody as mentioned their screen brightness setting. I don't doubt that a Z30 using dark theme for everything could achieve similar results. The LCD, resolution and the capacitive keyboard is consuming more power on the Passport.

That's what I thought too. Z30 on 10.3 is very long lasting.

I left mine just over half brightness. Difference is the resolution is double on the passport. Highly recommend it, I'm really impressed with the speed and quality. Best device I've ever had by far.

Yeah the trick to good battery life is simple in a way. Put a flippin huge battery in it. That's what helped Android.

Can't help but think Apple should have done the same with the 6 plus. Less likely to bend to if its thicker.

BlackBerry delivered what they promised with the Passport. It has been two days since I am using this amazingly great machine. Battery life is superb. Mine lasted for 18 hours due to very high talktime. In my Z30 I could barely manage 12 hours. Now no need to carry power boosters anymore. The power banks in themselves used to occupy much of the pocket space. Those who say this is exceedingly a big device should also consider the size of power banks which is quite a pain which one has to carry all the time as a extra baggage.

Display brightness should be kept reasonable. The screen is so bright that no need to keep it at 50% or higher. Also app permissions to use BBM can be turned off to save battery.
