    ???

    Hi guys?

I'm a bit confused and now thinking maybe I have a faulty BlackBerry, had device for a couple weeks and battery was amaaaaaazzzzzinnnnggg, but suddenly since yesterday my battery just is randomly decreasing like crazy? I used to be able to go 2 days without charge it's 3/4 of a day?

    Any ideas?

I believe I did get a software update a few days ago...

Well, I've read throughout the forums over and over that battery life can be impacted by Android apps.

First thing you should post when you have battery life issues is a screenshot from the device monitor

Did you reboot? That xmtv player whatever that is seems to be the problem.

    Yes I did.

And I did unistal it, it's better today then yesterday after reboot, also I didn't use the camera more than one or twice yesterday, any ideas to why usage is so high?

You may want to check the apps that have permission to use your camera, you might see the culprit over there. Head over these using Settings > Security and privacy > Application permission >select 'camera' under that drop down menu

Not at the minute seems ok,

    Oh my god?

Could be the android apps. I currently have mma underground and vine installed. My batterysucks right now. With constant use this past hour my battery has gone from 100 to 90. Must be the android apps.

Wow you can tell the battery stabilized after that got cleared up. But ya it's entirely possible that it did or something else.

Why does an AntiVirus app needs Camera permission? Why is there even an Antivirus app for Blackberry in the first place. It looks like CamScanner or Antivirus is the culprit for your battery drainage.

I also suspect 'Anti Virus ' is the culprit...

try not to have any apps running in background. I use the antivirus app only when needed. My son's S4 has no battery life because he refuses to clean up all the junk apps running all the time.

Antivirus could be the culprit as well. The anti-virus doesn't do anything for BlackBerry. Get rid of it.

You can keep your android apps. Make sure to go into the amazon app store and download the android app killer. Close your android apps using it. Unfortunately with android, you never fully close apps. That goes for the apps on the actual android devices as well. Need the app killer. That'll save battery life. The apps won't run in the backround. It's probably what's causing the bad battery life.

    Hi,
I am not trying to rub it in, but my passports battery life has improved a lot, not that it was bad or lagging behind my Z30. It just seems to give me a lot more after the first couple of charges. It's been about 10 days with my beast and it's doing a marathon. On average i get close to three days with moderate use (3g and data on always)
    Just my own observations.

    Regards,
    Divakar
