Lol, you hardly used it
Posted via CB10
Not so, this was multiple calls, emails, texts and bbms and lots of web browsing
How would you know from the screen shot??
Posted via CB10
I must agree even with social media, push emails, and browsing I tend to hover at days end around 55-60% batt life remaining!
Posted via CB10
Exactly, if you just turn it face down it uses like .5% per hour he definitely used it.
Because display is at 8.4% and I know the screen is the battery drainer in every phone on every OS.

Charged at least two times.
Mine doesn't last longer than 30 hours. At maximum. Not blown away. My Q5 had roughly the same battery life. I am not kidding you.

Your display usage(8.4%) of 24 hours is about 2 hours. That's not 2 hours of screen on time, it includes screen on plus other factors. So in 24 hours, your phone was probably used under 2 hours at most.
The q5 has a mini display and cpu clocked at 1.2 Ghz...

How are you correlating the percentage of the battery life to a time used??
That makes no sense
If you turned your brightness of the display down, it would consume less of the battery as a percentage, but the time the display is on would still be constant.
I am now at 30 hours with 52%
Why are people on a blackberry forum criticizing good battery life. That was my only point.
I think some people would argue just for the heck of it
Good grief.

Well as I use Blend for considerable amounts of messaging on mine, display is considerably lower a factor.
And when the display is used, my brightness is as low as it can be, which considerably reduces the overall impact on the battery.

Welcome to the new Crackberry : less friendly, a bit hostile, and definitely debate centered.

Probably just a jealous iPhone user. Hahaha

Anyone saying they used their device extensively for more than 24 hours and the display uses less than ten percent is hiding something. My display is set at the dimmest level and at 20 seconds.
I dunno...

How do they criticise? It's just a fact that when you hardly use a phone it will last for ages. Battery on the pp issnt bad at all, but ain't the best either.
I like my passport, like I did with my other 10+ phones last year. Because I own a passport it doesn't mean it's perfect in any way and I can honestly tell you with my usage no phone phone will last a full day with heavy usage like I do on a regular base.
I think I've seen around 8 a 9h SOT at max and that was with the note 4 and using wifi constant. The passport will probably get around the same SOT as the note 4 did, which issnt bad at all.
What I'm trying to say that there is no high end device capable of delivering juice for 20h+ heavy usage.
And there are many devices capable of delivering juice for over 20h+ on low usage

Not arguing good battery life. I consider myself a power user. Whether its android or blackberry, whenever I see someone post that they have great battery life but their phone hasn't been used much, I think it's a bit of a stretch to claim great battery life. Most all phones have great standby time but not all can last long while in actual usage.
If I see somebody post great battery stats for the passport and its actually been used, you won't see me arguing anything but it gets to me when people think long standby time is something worth bragging about.
Yea that's correct, I actually use my phone quiet a lot.

I use my phone quite a bit.

Yup, you guys found me out. I was really hiding the fact that the passport has a good battery.
I hid the fact I used my blackberry constantly and got good battery life
I have used blackberry for longer than most of you kids have been alive.
Get over yourselves

You wanna see some hard core use ...?
This is pedal-to-the-metal use...
Small business owner here :-D
Sure, not every day is like that, and I leave apps and the browser open, because I need them open...

When using heavy Android apps, battery goes down even faster.
This is after a 1 to 2hr Photoshop Touch session. I'm still learning. I need it every now and then. Created today's Australia day avatar. This is real laptop replacement use...
I wish the battery was removable... :-(

Could someone help me out here... what are you guys doing with your settings to get such long battery life? I've had my Passport for a couple days and I haven't been able to get through half a day without needing the charger at some point. Here's a pic of today's usage.
I changed my brightness to about 1/4 or less of brightness. Which I think is unfortunate to do on such a nice screen. I've also changed my time out from 1 min to 30 seconds. Not sure what else to change. I close out all of my apps when I'm not using them. I have about 3 or 4 android apps. I don't have nearly as many apps as I had on my Z10 since they're just not available for the Passport.
This is off the charger since about 10 am today. I also have the Stilgut flip case so the device has been "asleep" the majority of the day while in my pocket or on the table.

So long as I don't have to charge the device until I put my head down to sleep at night then I consider the battery life to be awesome.
I don't stay awake for 30 hours so who cares.
For me it's all about the phone lasting the entire waking day and performing at its max that counts.

Why attack us personally? Stop being so rude.. we just told you that you hardly used the phone so we are not impressed to see such results!
Yes, the battery is good, but it's nothing special..
Check gsmarena battery statts and check the score of the pp than compare it with the Nokia 1520 for example. (even that phone didn't last a full 24h with me.)
Btw, I'm sure most of us were alive when blackberry started selling 'smartphones'
