THis is the battery of my Passport on 10.3.1.2072.
I left it to download maps for Navfree all night. Regular texting, BBM and whatsapp. Nothing extreme. I think it is pretty good.

I don't know how you guys are getting so much time out of your smartphone. Mine while in hand loses 1% every minute. Is this normal or my phone not performing well? Please see the attached image and tell. Waiting for the reply

I love the battery life on this thing. Iphones usually run out of battery around midday in my business. A few hours longer with android. First device to last me all day without needing to find a charger until bed time.

I noticed the since last charge doesn't go back more than 3 days or something like that. Mine has gone off the chart with light use. How come some lines are green and others are orange in the screenshots here?

Battery life is no better than current android. It easily makes a full day but not a second if you are a power user. I'm getting a little less than my OnePlus One. Still good but it's far from the best.

Would anyone know if I can/can't or if it's a good or bad idea to use my spare battery packs from my dead Z10 for emergency battery backup for my Passport? I realize it won't get me a full charge, but I figured at least it's something.

You got a spare device or something? I'm spending so much time on my phones that I would never get such times. Screen usage, is around 40 a50% and it's under 50% brightness.

No spare device. Was not on WiFi, no bluetooth. I have made phone calls, been texting and sending emails and on crackberry forums via the app, facebook, youtube and instagram. This has been the longest running I have had it without charging. It is now 5 pm and I have 54% battery life left. I find the estimation of how much time I have left is way off compared to the previous estimate. I am just glad to have made it through two 12 hour shifts without having to charge my phone. My phone has been running the entire time.

Could someone help me out here... what are you guys doing with your settings to get such long battery life? I've had my Passport for a couple days and I haven't been able to get through half a day without needing the charger at some point. Here's a pic of today's usage.

I changed my brightness to about 1/4 or less of brightness. Which I think is unfortunate to do on such a nice screen. I've also changed my time out from 1 min to 30 seconds. Not sure what else to change. I close out all of my apps when I'm not using them. I have about 3 or 4 android apps. I don't have nearly as many apps as I had on my Z10 since they're just not available for the Passport.

This is off the charger since about 10 am today. I also have the Stilgut flip case so the device has been "asleep" the majority of the day while in my pocket or on the table.

Well, i ran two weeks naked, then got an OEM flip case, and since the display is the biggest hog of power, my battery life went up about 40% with the case. I was on 30 timeout for the screen, but having it shut down when i closed it made a remarkable difference.

I'm happy with mine. Sometimes I go back to work without charging it at night and arrive on 27% at 10am.

It's great to have such long life.

    Thanks!

It's funny you mentioned going from a naked phone to the flip case, cause I've had the flip case since virtually day 1 and just got the Seidio Surface today. I did notice that since dropping my screen brightness from about 50% to about 25% has stretched it longer but not by much since the Passport is my daily driver and since it's brand new I've been on it a lot more than I used to be on my Z10 because of the battery life. Even if I did have a backup battery.

I think we have to remember that the duration of battery life remaining updates itself constantly based on the rate of usage for the past 10mins or so(not sure how long exactly). For instance if it shows you have 2 days 10 hrs remaining now, 30mins later it may show something like just 11 hours remaining if you have been using the device heavily for the past half hour.

Thus comparing battery life based on battery life remaining is pretty much inaccurate. Just my 2 cents for those who have been doing so.

I use my device heavily on browsing/videos/music daily. On constant heavy usage, my passport lasts for around 14 hours at most.

Can't really say whether the battery is excellent, but I'm glad that at least I have no need to plug my phone to the wall or a mobile charger in the day like I used to have to do before.
