Question: Why is the system draining Sooo much power? I don't have sideloaded any android apps. I don't allow apps being updated when minimized... My mail accounts all work on push basis... So what is draining that battery?

email, BBM, processes running in the background, screen brightness, how many times a day you wake up the screen, etc. Signal strength, searching for wifi and not finding it?

Signal strength is weak and mostly my passport is connected to wifi. I have a q10, same situation but apps can work while minimized and the battery performance of the q10 is much better... the power draining line on the monitor is rarely that steady and never has the deep angle like the passport

My batter life increased with a restart of the passport. But still, with OS1779 battery life isn't very good....

Battery issue-img_20150426_041209.png Even with the battery charged to 100%, it shows only 7 hours of battery life remaining... Any clues anyone?

It sounds like a process may be hanging in the background causing battery drain. I would recommend performing a reset (which is akin to a battery pull on older BlackBerry devices) to see if that alleviates the issue. To do this, hold down the Power/Lock key for 10 seconds, ignoring the shut down screen, carrier logo (if applicable), and BlackBerry logo. Release the Power/Lock key when you see the BlackBerry 10 OS loading screen appear (with the BlackBerry logo and progress indicator).

From there, charge your phone up to 100% and monitor for 24 hours to see how much battery life you are able to obtain.

Also keep in mind that the "time remaining" indicator is just an estimate which can fluctuate depending on how you are using your device for a certain period of time.

Try to reload the latest OS. If the problems still persist, it may be the battery itself has a problem. And the only solution is to replace the battery or the unit. If your mobile is still under warranty, you can skip the re-loading of OS and just ask for replacement...

What Apps are CPU intensive? The Android Player being on top always sounds like a crappy Android app running all the time.

I had one of those (a Bitcoin wallet) that killed my battery within a day. So deleting those apps and then keep monitoring would be my advise.

I am on and Battery life is very good (2 days of heavy usage, two Email Accounts, Twitter, LinkedIn, BBM, Phone and a few Text messages) .
