For starters, the Z10 batteries are not stellar and there is the issue of how heavily do you use the phone. However, since you have only had it for two days, I would give it a bit more time (maybe a week) and see what happens.

First couple of days will be crap. Indexing and playing with it n such. You should be OK soon. Don't freak out. Stay the course

I must have gotten lucky. 36 hours on first charge with heavy use and several apps running the whole time.

It's true that the first couple of days seem to take the most out of the battery as the system is draining a lot more juice than it will once it settles out. The same thing happens when you do a big OS upgrade. It will calm down.

    Also: beware of Skype!

The Kindle App will drain your battery quickly if you have that installed.

You need to know that the device manager battery estimates are based on an average of actual real time use.

So let's say you start with a full charge and your letting you phone sit idle. It will read 2 days or so.
But you hop on the phone and start browsing the web, streaming music, and chatting with friends.
When device manager refreshes you will see a drastic drop from those 2 days to more like 1 day.

On average most people who are medium users get about 16 to 24 hours of use.

I personally get about 10 hours during the weekdays because I stream music for 8 hours while at work.
And on the weekend I can get about 36 to 48 hours off one charge, because I barely touch my phone.

The best thing to do though so you get the best estimate possible, is to completely drain the battery until the phone shuts down on its self. Then charge it back up to 100%. But while charging it back up, do not unplug it.

This allows device manager to recognize what a dead battery is all the way up to a fully charged battery is.

If you use your phone to read, edit text, surf the Web and live stream TV or video, essentially as a mobile laptop, your Passport battery will never last 24 hours.
If you stream music, with a blank screen, use map to drive, you do not drain your battery as fast.
It is activities that use the screen and video streaming that actually test a true high end smartphone these days, not typical audio phone usage.

I regularly post screen shots to fb to brag about my insanely long battery life. And it has been this way almost since unboxing.

What Android (messaging/media playing) apps have you got installed? Talking about stellar battery life for the Passport, or any BB10 device for that matter, is pretty much only "guaranteed" if you stick to native solutions.

Android apps eat up most of your RAM and cpu when in use and this obviously causes a lot of power consumption. The OS is not built to optimise these Android apps, but just built to get them to run at all.

You cannot easily see this behaviour because most of what an Android app uses is just clumped together under System, Android Player and Android Media apps.

I'm asking, because your Device Monitor shows Android Player above PIM Services. And for a newly set up device if PIM is not in the top three something out of the ordinary is going on.

    BlackBerry 10, Passport signed.
