Calm down, it's still a rumour and hopefully should remain that.

I hope not. I really don't like Samsung. However, if BlackBerry remained a more or less independent subsidiary of Samsung but had their financial backing plus the ability to manufacture hardware this could be good.

Mostly I am against it though.

if samsung eats blackberry they will strip it for its parts ...the qx vehicle thing will spin off & maybe sell to automaker, the OS will be made open source & die out (just like webOS), it will wind up running clothes dryers & children's toys ...soon the cloud support will cease & the phones will become bricks for wifi ...john chen's wife will buy him a galaxy note ...end of story...

I am thinking this would be a patent grab and shut down. Samsung wants those patents to get into the Enterprise space. I don't think it would be possible for Samsung to integrate Android into BES or vice versa.

It would be impossible for them to have the android runtime in BB10, it would breach the terms of their Google Play license

or, as was the case for PalmOS/webOS purchased by HP for billions (with a mature OS environment & a mature staff of geeks with longevity) & put out of its misery with a single shot losing plenty killing some killer devices be4 they even saw the light of day ...ATT sold the HP Veer for a few weeks & gone ...they made HP Pre 3 for ATT (I had that in ATT box complete with bloatware) & it WAS NEVER EVEN SOLD IN THE USA & sold a little while in the UK ...then, there's the HP Touchpad which sold a few dozen at around $700 with great hardware, was cancelled & fire-saled at BestBuy for $99 ...then dead !!

I have a Veer & 3 HP Pre 3s all dead, the touchpad lives due to an android hack on it (cyanogen)... HP is a big fat *****... IoT could be a shorthand for that... shame...

Amir, sadly money, sometimes, can do NOTHING !!

    Money can do anything :'(
