Backing up Passport
Hi
I can't get my passport to backup, I can see all media on my phone via BlackBerry link but phone refuses to backup and just times out. Running windows 10.
Tried turning off virus protection / firewall
Re installed BlackBerry Link
Both link and phone signed into same BlackBerry account
Turned off phone lock
Contacted BlackBerry help on twitter who said I need to contact carrier!!
Any other suggestions?

I guessing you have lots of drive space...
I'd attempt to back it up on another PC and see if you get the same results. That wi tell you if it's PC or Passport related

I would but don't have access to second computer.
It's just so annoying. Esp as Blackberry help have just told me to call carrier so they can ring Blackberry help etc instead of dealing with me direct.

I've had issues with backups before, but oddly enough today when I went to make one it did it all on it's own and was really fast. (45 minutes or so for full backup ~11.4GB)
Anyway give this a shot... Put the phone into airplane mode and make sure ALL radios are off or disabled, then reboot it. Let it sit for 5 minutes or so after it gets to the unlock screen, don't mess with it, just make a note of the time and wait 5 min. After waiting go ahead and plug it in with USB and try doing the backup again. Every time I've had issues getting a complete backup this has resolved it for me, worth a shot.
