    Hello Community,

I want to make sure that I can Back Up my Contacts. Before I always used Android Phones so I used Google +. And I can't make it work on my BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition. So for Now I have to find a other way to Back Up my Contacts. But if it's Possible also readable for Android Devices, just in Case ;P

Use a free app ContacstImEx to backup your contacts from your Passport.

    ContactsImEx - BlackBerry World

You can save your contacts into a CSV or vCard file. Then simply open up your Gmail account on the phone (or a PC) and import the contacts from the file.

Once you back up your contacts into a CSV file, you can put it in Dropbox or your memory card. Also back it up to your PC. From your PC, you can open Gmail and use your back up CSV file to restore your contacts.

You can sign into your Gmail in the Passport browser.

I use Gmail, but use an app named "Backup Pro" as my contacts are very valuable to me, the app can backup loads of other stuff too

It saves them to box or Dropbox or Mega in VCF in a zipped file.

Yea, it's $4.99 but I balance that against what my cost would be if I lost all my contacts?

I use an app in BBW called Ultimate Backup. It costs $3.99 but is a great app. I am in no way affiliated with the developer but I have been recommending this app since I first got it. Well worth the $ for all it can do. Plus I like to support developers.

Ok I guess if I really want to have a good App, I really have to pay for it. What about the Apps from the Google Play Store?

Sorry can't help you with that--I use as few android apps as possible. I just think my device runs better. Personally I ALWAYS look for a BBW app first, then if I cannot find what I want, I look towards the Amazon App store and finally I go to the Google Play Store. This has served me perfectly for the last 2+ years but your mileage may vary. I also like to stay away from ANY app that has advertising in it, which usually means free. I would rather pay a dollar or two for a good no-ad app but that's just me.

Your right. I also prefer the Apps from the BlackBerry World first. And then from the Google Play Store.
