Guys, I got an email with an attached document that I was trying to read bit every time I click it I get an error saying "attachment too large by policy". Is there a setting that I have this one? If so, how do I get rid of it?

    Thanks!

This is usually managed on the server side but I remember to have read somewhere that the attachment limit is 8MB. How big is the file?

9.9MB. Does that mean it's not open-able on the Passport? Kinda defeats the purpose if that's the case...How am I supposed to work wide if it won't let me open work files?!

Maybe someone knows....... have to encounter that problem yet...

Can you forward it to a Gmail account to see if the problem lies with exchange or with the BlackBerry?

It could be an IT policy if a corporate account is used...

attachment became a little bigger? Can you clarify?

Ask your IT admin what your mail attachment limit is. I know I can send 25MB attachments on my desktop with gmail and got a notice that 16MB was the limit (which I believe came from the phone itself).

In your case, I think your exchange server is limiting it. Otherwise, are you on 10.2.1? I believe attachment limits have gone up over time and I'm on latest 10.3.1.2267.

I don't think I have a limit to be honest. I opened the exact same file on my computer from my work email address (also exchange) and it opened within seconds. So it's certainly something to do with the phone.

I have the latest update as well this is a brand new red passport. I used to have a black one before this and never had any issues, although don't particularly recall opening anything that big,
