Does long pressing a key capitalize a letter and/or show accents?

Thanks ptpete I just wanted to post that about the symbols. The locked view is very easy to use if necessary but I find swipe+key works fastest for me.
I'm not an expert yet with the keyboard, but the learning curve is less steep than I thought.

    Some additional things:
    - Shift+backspace works like legacy (delete).
    - press and holding symbols from the contextual row shows alternative symbols.

Long pressing shows symbols, tapping the key after that switches between suggested symbols. Once the proper symbol is highlighted continue typing and it will be placed. Or just tap on the screen ofcourse.

Haven't used a physical phone keyboard in a long while, but I do try to flick most of the words I type, so it's about equal. So far.
Thurask, et al -- what do you say to this feedback about multi-word deleting?

"Now, from my Z10, I used the swipe-to-delete often, sometimes with more than one finger to get rid of more words. I tried it on the Passport keyboard but to no avail. I was panicking and thought I would be only able to delete 1 word at a time. Thankfully, I found out how to do it. All you have to do is press the "@123" key, or quick swipe down on the physical keyboard, and then swipe across the virtual keys with as many fingers as you can."

Want to start by saying I am a very proud new owner of a passport and yes there definitely is a learning curve but I'm on day two and things are getting easier. So I have. Afew questions for everyone, first is were is the dark themes is hub and text don't seem to have this? , next is it safe to charge the passport with the PlayBook charger?, is there a way to get rid of the dam search bar on the bottom of the page on a website page?. Oh and the keypad scrolling works fine for me on this site, not to sure why so many people are saying that it doesn't

    Thanks

How do I get rid of this screen so that my apps appear directly to the right of the hub???

I know there is a setting but can't seem to find it.

How is the audio quality through headphones or an AUX port? I end up listening to a lot of music through headphones and Android phones just simply have terrible audio quality, both in clarity and volume, so this is pretty important to me. Thank you to whoever can answer.
Just a thought maybe get a dedicated music player? Like a fiio x3 or x5?

Wondering about RFA (remote file access). Blend seems to work fine on my Passport, but I can't seem to access my computer. Not over Wi-Fi, nor over mobile network.
Is there an additional step needed to get RFA working on the Passport?

    Nevermind, works.
I cannot get multi-swipe to delete to work in any way though, at least not with the method mentioned above.

Someone asked for memory usage after boot: I have about 100 apps installed, quite a lot of headless running as well. All radios/services active.

Battery life is amazing. Pretty much using it non-stop for the last 9 hours and it shows 9 more. With close-to-heavy use I would call that a good start!

Although it does use the USB port for video out now.

USB for video out? Does that mean I need a new cable to plug into HDMI? USB to HDMI cable?

    A HDMI / Miracast question!

If I have a video that I want to watch on a TV that is in 16:9, does the video fill the TV estate, or is it boxed off due to the 1:1 aspect ratio of the originating device?

    Thanks
They showed this in the Passport Anouncement presentation.
If you select full screen the passport display blacks out and the video fills the 16:9 TV screen.

From what I gather, it seems the keyboard only registers one finger touch at a time. Are there any actions that can be performed using two fingers?

Multi-word delete works as they described. Which is cool as I've used this feature a lot with the virtual keyboard on my Z30.

WhatsApp is available as a Native app, and i would say its better than the android and iOS version(i have both iphone and android), and for Skype, Viber and Telegram, the android apps are available, which u can either download using Snap(Google PlayStore Client for BB10) or Amazon Market or from the Web (Skype is there on BlackBerry World too, but not the latest version, so its better u download from Snap)
