It's not working properly for me. The app keeps screwing up what I type into it. I've tried the 2 last versions of the app and encounter the same issue. It used to work perfectly with my Q10. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

It's not working for me either. I switched to fancy Trans. It seems these translating apps are only good for a period of time and then shut down. Navita was another good one that's now dead along with Tao.

It's been a while but it worked for me about 6 months ago, since I don't have a need for it, I got rid of it :S I just got it ot see if it would work and it did

    microsoft's translator also worked too

think only issue I had with google was that it used mobile connection to download offline package, didn't seem to want to use my wifi for it

edit: I just reinstalled it, everything seems to work fine just now

Just use TAO Translator from BlackBerry World. It's a great, free native app with support for Google Calendar, MS Bing Translator, Yandex.Translator and Yandex.Dictionaries

The best way to translate texts is to dive in the appropriate language. However, this takes time and some efforts. It pays immeasurably though.
