I LOVE this app.

Made a cute video of my kids first baseball game yesterday and I can't save the film to show others.

The app keeps crashing. Gets to only 49% in the save process.

Anyone know why??

I've tried putting all the photos and video clips on my phone rather than my memory card and it still crashed.

I've rebooted several times.

Any ideas?

Weird man... do you have any updates? System updates? App updates?

I've had issues with other apps and they have gone away over time.

I haven't even gotten the update usa at&t and everybody says I need the update for it to work properly even though I used it once last year I just noticed couple months ago it wasn't working properly

I can't save video on story maker it displays the message unable to save story. Your story couldn't be saved. Please try again. If the problem persists, restart the application and try again.

Go to story maker swipe down den. Go to settings and turn OFF "save to media card"

Here is the error. BlackBerry needs to fix this.
I think I will just resort to using a screen recorder after I restart my phone for the 64,464,421,1448th time to preview my masterpiece and share it.

So far, nothing I've tried in options works.
Nothing in other forums work.

I've done it all and people still recommend the same things that others recommend.

BlackBerry needs to fix this. And they don't know it.

A native application still cannot function properly.

Android looks tastier than the apple right now and BlackBerry is sour.

I believe I've resolved this issue. I started too delete one file from my story at a time until it did save. Found one video clip was corrupted. Deleted that and the problem was gone. Put back all the other clips and it saved.

It's a painful way because there is no way to see which clip is corrupted.

I use story maker all the time and on the latest official release of 10.3.1xxx and no issues at all. I've probably made about 75+ movies and no issues.

Just discovered this thread.
I used Story Maker many times without issues on my Q10 in 2013-2015. Some clips were very long and included 40+ videos.
I used Story Maker twice on Passport in 2016-2017 without issues.
Two days ago I made another story - all was fine. I decided to edit, changing durations of some video elements. It was saved (probably, I didn't watch the progress) but during replay the final video has frozen. Then - same error messages as mentioned above.
Restart of the app or of the phone did not help, neither change of save destination from card to phone.
Have deleted everything from Story Maker. Attempted again with the same set of videos. Saving started and stopped at about 50%. Error message "could not be saved...".

Still trying to find a walk-around but it seems as another good native application left without support. (Print To Go, BB Travel,... the list is growing).

Question: are there good alternatives to Story Maker among BB10 apps?

My story goes on...
I have performed security wipe and tried Story Maker again. Simple collage of pictures - OK, workable. Then I tried to create a story of several videos. Preview worked OK and I could change some settings and play preview again. But saving was impossible. It stopped at 13% and any further attempt ended with error messages described earlier.
So, probably I have to accept sad truth: this nice app is RIP.

By the way, I tested several Android apps mentioned in other threads about Story Maker. Not able to find anything which is easy, fast and error fee. So far, Adobe Premier Clip was the most close match, but still not as convenient...
