i have had the passport for a week after owning the z10 for what seems like ages.
my biggest issue is i feel there is no optimization for the passport with the software. no col apps that were built specifically to take advantage of the passport. look at the Note series from samsung.

Well there's Work Wide but that's about it that has been specifically optimized in any capacity.

exactly but even then its not even built by blackberry. i just dont understand how you build a brilliant device like the passport, market it as a wide device with a keyboard and not optimize the software... SMH gimmicks sell

I got a few really cool apps designed specifically for the Passport. Let me know if you want to try them.

I use leaks on my both phones : z10 and passport. I see no software differences between those two. Aww, passport is booting up faster...but is 1.5 GHz dual core and 2 gb of ram vs 2.24 GHz quad core and 3 gb of ram. My personal opinion is that is 10.3.1 isn't well optimized for passport. Not now.

I think there is a reason behind that, since they introduced that half size frame in 10.3 and API level 10.3, it's not backwards compatible with the rest if us on 10.2.**

Passport is a blackberry on steroids but we also need a os on steroids too. Passport and 10.3.1 is like putting narrow tires on a 1000 bhp car (you have power but no traction)
