Has anybody ever got this when typing for long periods? I've found with my Passport its easier to do essays but I've had a couple of experiences where I may feel a bit of tension and numbness in my hands.

Slightly worrying but I suppose this could happen with anything.

A lot depends on the position of the arms... Don't hold it up above your head or when resting on your elbows... Otherwise the numbness could occur when typing on any device.

You tell me. 17 Years coding, 12 years computer support, @ the keyboard for 15 hours a day. Have it in both wrists and I refuse to go for surgery for it.

Oh, and many many weekend marathons of World of Warcraft.

    Can't argue that.

Watch the angle of your wrists, make sure they are straight. I destroyed mine typing non-stop during a three hour exam because they were bent downward due to the height of the desks from an era when everyone used paper and fountain pen.

I also would not suggest typing an entire report on your phone, if at all avoidable. Yes, this has been promoted as a "work-wide" device, however this or any phone was not designed as a replacement to a desktop or laptop computer. The ergonomics are completely different no matter what position you hold it in.

Has anyone had success hooking up a bluetooth keyboard to their passport? It seems to be an easy way to do it.

I have had surgery in both wrists for carpal tunnel. Couldn't play golf anymore because of the pain the next few few days. Well worth it and now have no problem keyboarding. Good side effect I guess.

Sometimes the surgery works very well... And sometimes unfortunately it just causes more problems. Glad that you had a good outcome!

I've typed out full technical reports on my phone without discomfort. I find that relaxing your hands really helps a lot. Doing that slows down your typing a bit but helps you type for longer periods.
