Well, I decided to gamble and did the update OTA 10.3.1581 via WiFi. AT&T is my provider. Immediately after the update I went into the camera app and immediately cursed as the app was flickering and unresponsive. I rebooted and have seen no more flickering at all. I know it may return, but I'm hoping that it won't plague me too much.

The latest ifunny app (android) wont load anymore, but the mobile web version is pretty close in functionality so I just saved it to the homescreen. Other android apps seem to work as well or better. Fruit Ninja used to take forever to load, but now seems to load much quicker (actual game play seems unchanged)

Contrary to the experiences of others, my notification volume seems louder, as do my custom ringtones (at least that seems true for one of them).

The camera focus algorithms seem vastly improved. Much snappier.
Some nice new features (custom LED's!). I may revise this assessment if the flicker 'o death returns, but so far I am pleased. Keeping my proverbial fingers crossed

I had the screen flickering a reset sliced that for now anyway. My contacts are finally searchable and not duplicating so I am very happy

Updated my passport last night to 10.3.1 and no issues so far (touch wood). Passport from Amazon (unlocked) and on Telus. It seems faster and I like some of the keyboard shortcuts. Also typing activates the BlackBerry assistant like it used to.

I like being able to use Cisco AnyConnect (works on 10.3.1).

I'm sad that my Pebble watch is running through its battery quickly so will likely have to charge it nightly (I knew this before updating).

Very happy. A reboot fixed the green band on my camera and a few niggles that showed up right after the update finished. And since rebooting it has been perfect frankly.

It may sound small, but I really really like the blue tint to selected emails when selecting multiples for deletion etc.

I'm actually liking the update especially now that they added the classic tones from legacy devices!

Also sorted the infamous low volume notification.

This may also sound small, but I also like the faint blue color of the folders in the file manager. Haha.

    All good here as well.

No flickering or notifications issues, have never loaded any leaks on my passport though. It's all been stock software.

So far some of the changes have been good, no doubt there are many more that I haven't stumbled across as yet.

Yeah! I actually have the Classic Phone tone now in use. Never had it before since the Z10 was my first BlackBerry.

Screen flicker was fixed with a reboot. Otherwise, a nice update. I can do lots of screen shortcuts like v.7.

All good here. No flicker, no soft notifications, faster camera startup and focus....

The only annoying thing is that a lot of sites I use have flash interfaces (eg. abc iView). Luckily, there is normally an android app, so I now use it instead. Otherwise photon browser has flash built in. The entire system seems snappier. I never installed a leak, maybe there are incompatibilities.

i am fine with it... i installed a leak months ago on my tester phone.. so i have been playing with it for a while. at first i didn't like it was very different the gui took alittle getting used to.. but once you do its fine. there are alot of things to like on this os build.. but there are a few i don't.. i liked the quick acces buttons in hub and music player and such... the calander is so much better!! i prefered the color of the the hub in 10.2.1 but you do get used to this aswell....alot of android apps work fast in this build...anyway those are a few of the things that i like..

i did notice right away it burned 50% of my battery in about an hour once it finished updating... but it seems to have settled down since then..

I ran antutu before and after the update.

    Before: 29183
    After: 34455

This puts the PP about level with the LG g3. Not bad. Android apps should be a bit snappier.

Working fine for me. Just after the update, things seemed a bit sluggish, then I wasn't so sure the LED was actually flashing when messages came in, then the camera app wouldn't launch. Things seemed to have sorted themselves out after a couple reboots and several hours of using the phone. Now I'm liking all the new features!

I have a Q10 and did my update two days ago. I usually think that software updates often create more problems than benefits (engineers introducing changes that only annoy users without bringing any benefits, etc, like the new look of the OS for iPhone Apple introduced some time ago). Yet, I must say that I was really happy with the OS update. I had to fiddle a bit with the settings to get rid of the empty "home" page with the wallpaper only and a silly default that automatically enlarges the screen pictures when you swipe up, but once I found my way around those the system looks great. More icons per page, better interfaces for messaging throughout, etc. Bravo! I did not experience any of the difficulties people mention here... will be on the watch.

Yes, because whatever problems I may have with the official OS (very few) are tempered by knowing first hand just how crappy the OS was before this point.
