I have tried those on BlackBerry world but none of them is perfect. Is there any old versions of instagram that works perfectly on passport? Especially including workable direct message function. Thanks!

Insta10 or other name is i10 is workable but not 100%. I also use the Fennec browser which I got here and bookmarked the website. I have all I need
Recently tried i10. Doesn't work for me.

What doesn't work is sharing posts in direct or re-grann
Fortunately you can share outside of the app any posts and you can save photos to device. If you have a conversation already with a contact you can text in the DM but no media.
Other then that it does work fairly well.
I use Fennec for sharing posts/media in DM's in instagram.

Instagram 9.0.1 APK works perfectly so far. Direct messaging will not be functional nowhere, except the browser - but hardly the stock one. Apart from that you can do everything that was possible up to that version, including the "newly introduced" stories ;))

An APK from 2016 isnt a good solution since many vulnerabilities have been patch since then
If you're paranoid it sure isn't ;) I have never experienced any issues and since android runs in a runtime on bb10, I truly don't mind. On the other hand, if security is such an issue, the thread starter would not use bb10 today :p

No but it's a BB10-style solution nonetheless!

Many aspects of perfect and usable features require something above the ART 4.3 since after 7+ years, things have been improved for the Android/iOS user experience. When you choose an outdated EOL OS, be willing to accept less than perfect and missing features.
The website.
Yup! I use the Web site on the home screen and it does work perfectly. A little slower than the app, but very acceptable for our BB10 devices.

I am also using the browser version.

Sharing posts and media in DM function?
Doesn't show multiple photos in a post only one

Why anyone would want to use the slow stock browser is beyond me. Fennec works flawlessly and I'd say almost as fast as the app for browsing.

Well, I do have Fennec installed, unfortunately it heats my phone whereas KIWI, BEOL android browsers do not. Thus I engage with the Native browser and only use an android when the site does not render.

I have decided to stick with only two browsers. Obviously stock and Fennec. I have not noticed much overheating and have bookmarked all the necessary sites needed to be used on either browser. Life is now much simpler with less jumping around from one browser to another when there just two.
Actually I experience some lagging issues when I had other browsers installed so I'm running lean and mean with my two choices.

I am using Kiwi and Fennec. I don't bother with the native browser too much anymore unless I know it's a simple site.

The native browser can still do lots especially in desktop mode. I still use it for general searches and YouTube to play in background.

In another thread, you said you couldn't imagine why someone would use the native browser. ;)

I thought the same thing. Lol. By the way, how do you run YouTube in the background. Thanks,

Just use the native browser in desktop mode. You can minimize it without any problem.
The browser version via firefox works perfectly.
